90% of the goals that we give up are cordoba's fault, i mean i love the guy to death but its time for him to take a seat. Our defence should be either maicon-materazzi-chivu-zanetti or maicon-samuel-materazzi-chivu. IMO cordoba is the 4th best central defender we have. behind chivu,matrix,and samuel

Stop exaggerating. Codroba has not been at fault for 90% of the goals probably 25%. 35% at most though.

Actually I think Cordoba does have defensive lapse this season as well. Agree on puttin Samuel ahead of Cordoba

While saying Cordoba is at fault for 90% of goals scored against us is a clear exaggeration, I do think he is is one of the biggest defensive liabilites in the team and has been for some time. For years I have cringed eveyr time I saw his name on the team sheet, however the last 2 seasons he has improved somewhat but I still feel we could do a whole lot better than him for a starting CB...

No, not really. You don't need too much pace when your centre-backs have sterngth and a good sense of position.

It's only useful when your playing against a team who purely concentrate on Counter attacks....I.e. Roma. As Materazzi nor Samuel won't be catching Mancini/guily/de rossi etc.

The problem is both samuel and matrix are left footed....The same goes for chivu as well....So a lot of work has to be put in during training if we got to see a matrix-samuel partnership.....

On the other hand cordoba is right footed....And playing there comes naturally for him....The natural replacement is burdisso.....
