Increased infraction points for revealing other match result in Inter's match thread

That's actually a great idea. It would be acceptable for me to allow you guys to reveal results if it is done using spoiler tags. Will look into this and see what the other mods feel about it.

When one of the games is Inter-Milan (our biggest or 2nd biggest game in the year) and people here are also interested for any other game, then they are not what we'd call hardcore Inter fans.
I myself have a lot of recorded matches. I never watch recorded games that I don't know what happened. I prefer to stick to finding out the result, and if it's worthy, I also watch the highlights. Some people do not have much free time to record and watch 2-3 games in a row.

So what, if I watch our Derbies I'm therefore ''banned'' from watching any other football that day?

wtf are you going on? It makes absolutely no sense since we are talking hypothetically, and also seeing that you are on an Inter forum, your priority is INTER and not Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man Utd, Chelsea or anyone. If INTER fans feel the need to talk about A SITUATION THAT HAPPENED IN ANOTHER GAME, THEY SHOULD BE FREE TO DO SO.

I also find it really alarming that there is no Mod or Admin that shares the culture of Italy and the Inter fans that actually attend the game. You may think it's "racist" and we are "international", but the case is simple. Inter is an Italian team. And the majority of its fans behave like Italians. And having the same background culture as the Italians I say that it's 100% absurd that Inter fans should not be allowed to talk about Serie A games during Inter games.

There's a reason why every Serie A goal or every CL goal DURING INTER GAMES is announced at the San Siro. Yet, we are here, at the "representation of international fans" and we do things our own way.

Even interfans.org doesn't have such a dumb rule and, at least I, know why. It's because it's part of Italian culture, it's part of Inter's culture and furthermore, it's the logical thing to do. Would it be wrong if someone "revealed" that Barcelona got through as top of their group? And I really want to see someone say what that has to do with Inter

nobody commented on it, nobody said anything about it. It's just there as a fact that happened in the other game. How is that 'against the rules' ONLY IN HERE I still fail to understand.

Nobody cried WHY DID YOU REVEAL THE SCORE.. It's because that's an absurd thing to do. People actually complain when people do not inform them about other ongoing games in Italy (and Greece etc)

If you want this to be a proper INTER forum, a forum of an ITALIAN team, then do the right thing and act like Inter fans instead of behaving like capitalists that get funded by those who "download" games and want to watch re-runs of OTHER TEAMS' games!

Do you honesltly realise that we have a rule to protect people who want to watch games that are not Inter related by pretty much messing up the forums? How more wrong could that be?
Can we please have a poll now? (in the games & tactics forum)

There are probably only 6 people viewing this thread at the moment, and it could be increased to 500 in just 3 days if it was in the Games & Tactics forum

Each and every forum has different culture/rules. This has been part of this forum since very early on. You can disagree as much as you want but I see no reason why we need to be like interfans,xtratime or any other forum.

And I also find it fascinating that "insulting other members will not be tolerated" when I, not 100% sure, haven't insulted any other member so far (at least Interista, coz I remember insulting 3-4 people who were either asking for it or were milanisti, juventini and at the point it wasn't just me) but when other people insulted me personally a few years' back it was all fine because they were "buds" with the majority of mods for some common affiliation they have.
Yet people get infractions which lead to bans for doing something obvious that on this forum is denied...

:wallbang2::wallbang2: You know having a go at the mods/admins for where they live is not really going to get them to see your point...But then again all of us having inferior knowledge concerning inter culture compared to the great Yuko.

As for the second part. This is an forum dedicated to english speaking interisti. So obviously the culture will differ from the italian speaking inter forums.

Two years back we changed our policty from moderating loosely to being more strict. This was done due to the fact that the forum was growing a lot. It wasn't just few people who understand each other and could handle the jokes and insults.

To even discuss about this is ridiculous for me so I'll stop here. I'll just ask it once more. Can we have a poll, and public one please, with people agreeing and disagreeing on the rule? Even if 99% of the members disagree with the rule it does not force anyone to change it, but I think there are lots of people who wanna see who is "the good portion of members" that is being 'protected' here.

And yes, the forums have grown bigger, it's only natural. But it's not like it's the biggest forum out there. There are tons of football forums with much more members and multiple times, but rules like this one, nowhere. At least I've been a member to possibly 4-5 forums that are bigger than this one, which are forums for just 1 team, and such rule does not apply anywhere. [still talking about the topic, not the insults]


People who wanna download games to watch on re-runs and don't want to hear the spoilers, simply should not view any game threads during that time and simply watch the games they wanna watch.
There are also those who use so many forums instead of media sites to get news from because people post news from everywhere. This is happening here. People are substituting media resources with forums.
Will we also prohibit news sources because people wanna buy tomorrow's newspaper?

Again, its not about democracy, so its not about majority and minorities. We have made our reasons clear at the very beggining of this thread and we as mods will stand by it. Also, we are considering to allow this if the poster uses spoiler tag. Everyone wins then.

We will be making that announcement as soon as the discussion is done and decision made in the mods forum. We will keep you guys updated.

Ok, spoiler tag is a step to improvement. But why use spoiler tags when it's something directly or indirectly related to Inter?
Serie A rivals, directly related.
Champions League group, directly related.
Champions League rivals, indirectly related.
African Cup of Nations, indirectly related as long as we have Eto'o, Muntari and other African internationals and it involves their games.

It's not discussion we are talking about, it's just simple statements.
eg Barcelona scored 3 in just 5 minutes, or, Chelsea is playing worse than us, they are losing to an unknown team called Zilina in London...

Yuko, we have seen your reported post. Sometimes we might be a little late with action on it, but be assured action will be taken according to the rules of the forum very soon. I'm sure you will understand that we all cant be online at the same time and decide at that very instant, though we would very much like to do so.

We are currently dealing with that report. Sorry that it wasn't done faster. Suneet doesn't have privledges to delete posts in that section and my internet was acting up for the last 2 days, my posting has been from my blackberry. Unfortuantly deleting and giving infractions is very hard from my mobile.

As for the rest I don't see what the issue is with a compromise where you use spoiler tags in order to say something about the other results. By doing so you can still say what you want and you don't spoil it for anyone that want's to watch the other games delay. For me its a perfect compromise.

and instead of big infractions mods could be happy to just edit the post and add a spoiler themselves right? or if you really want to, you should just do an escalated infraction rule. 1 for 1st timers, then 2 then 3 then boom... It's a lot of points for something as minor as this

Even I am against ANY spoiler in Inter thread. BUT, I totally agree with Yuko. I'm one of the ones that watch matches delayed from downloads. But I never check Inter matches thread when it is for any of our rivals. We just cannot not talk about Milan while they're losing/winning in the same time as we're winning/losing. So I think that in INTER's matches thread should be allowed Spoilers.
