Getting Campagnaro and send Silverstre back sounds a great deal in Jan. I think we have seen enough of Silverstre already. Multiple chances but he just cant take them.

Odd but true, for most purposes he seemed like a great pick up at the time, strong classic italian defender.

He would be signed as a backup and would be taking over for someone like Silvestre or Chivu. He wouldn't be here to threaten Rano or Juan's status. As long as we sign him to a reasonable deal (no more than 2 yrs, no more than 2mil), I have no problem with it.

That's fine, but that's something that teams like Barça, Real Madrid, Man U, even Jube can afford. On the other hand we shouldn't be paying €2M to a rotation player, specially when we're supposedly investing in youth, the minutes Campagnaro would get should go to the likes of Mbaye, Pasa or Caldirola.

In theory this is good. Until he actually does threaten Juan's place and we end up with a backline of Chivu - Samuel - Campagnaro when Rano pulls a calf.

Sure, but are you ok with Inter competing for Europa League spots for a few more years while the likes of Mbaye & Pasa develop their skills?

We have to mix our youth policy with some experience buys like Campagnaro, because we are Inter and are expected to compete for CL spots. Investing on youth does not mean that most of our squad should be primavera players.

Even if it is deal meant for a rotational role, we're more than filled with that type of players at that age.
