Great transfer. Hopefully he'll get back to his old form when back in Italy.

Welcome back, Hernan.

I think it's great that Crespo joined our club. He'll do us good. In 02/03, he scored 16 goals in 30 appearances, that's more than 1/2 goals per game...

Forza Hernan :p

Well it seems that inter and chelsea have a good rapport talks always run smothly and fine between them, which is great.

So with crespo here, did people here think we should keep the 5 strikers or sell one of cruz, recoba or martins?

Chelsea FC is in discussions with Inter Milan regarding a loan agreement for Hernan Crespo.

Thats weird...they posted that quite a long time after inter.it posted theirs..

I think we will need to sell Recoba. But, now many people here will say that recoba is interista, good player and so on

I think we need to sell him and use Slavkovski as 5th striker :yeay:

Chelsea website admins obviously don't see much of Roman's wealth if that's the best job they can do... they need to realise what has occured.

Oh no no no no no no no no no, fuk fuk fuk, I don't belive this. We signed the biggest as*holes of all. Well, I hope he will score very much, but I doubd it. Does this means no Ibra, no Toni no Tavano?

Well Crespo was free, so maybe we have change, if this means that there will come no other striker, than I think this is ****ed up...

Well... I think, we have to sell one, because otherwise we'll have simply to much strikers, sell cruz or recoba, not Martins, he can become a star !

I would have preferred Luca Toni but I have always liked Crespo due to his tenure in Inter and thus, considering the following points, I kinda kinda like this transfer.
  1. Please do not forget that the Delle Valles are playing hard ball with Toni. We have to dish out a lot of money for someone who's 30 years old and since age is mentioned a lot as an issue against Crespo's transfer, why shouldn't it be used against Toni too?
  2. I am positive that even if Toni joined us, Fiorentina would try to keep him as long as possible and will only entertain us in a last-minute deal, causing Toni to be out of our pre-season campaign. Certainly something I'd hate to see happen.
  3. I'm not sure about the details but Crespo comes here for free or on loan. Combined with how expensive Toni is going to cost, this option is definitely much more cost efficient for us.
  4. Crespo has always done very well in Serie A. He scored for fun with Parma, Lazio, Inter & Milan. 16 in 30 for us isn't very bad, considering that he was playing with another targetman, Vieri, and had to play behind Bobo. Also, like Catanha mentioned, he was out for 2 months with a broken foot while he was with us. In Milan, Shevchenko, he had to fight with Tomasson & Inzaghi for the spot and re-adjust back from EPL's style to Serie A's style. He struggled but scored like there's no tomorrow as the season neared its end. His record with Argentina is mighy impressive.
All in all, Luca Toni would have definitely been the better choice but I must say that the difference is not that big.

Crespo being presented. This may be the only time that a transfer saga involving Inter only takes a couple of days to be finalized in such a smooth matter. Speaks volumes on our business relationship with Chelsea and Abramovich, actually.

i think this is a gr8 signing....
he can definitely score unlike Adriano, Martins.........
not expensive like Toni
not much (bad)attitude like Ibra

dont think he s a traitor...has been sayin for a long while that he wants to go back to Italy....and if i am not mistaken he also mentioned sometime back...he preferred playin for Inter than Bilan.

Forza Zanetti!
