I dont think inter is the top popular club in indonesia there are more manchester united or juventus fanboys outhere. But as we have 250 million people population, so even a minor fan group have many members

Usually it used to be Milan or Juventus who would gain more fans in the 90s and 2000s hence the curiosity if Inter had some special connection to Indonesia.

Yes it used to be more Milan and juve fans, even my father is a milan fan due to van basten+ ruud gullit. My best guess is a lot of newer inter fan is from the mancini-mourinho era where we won a lot of things, success does bring fans to clubs. Although I started as an inter fan way longer since 1996 (fallen in awe with djorkaeff then ronaldo)

Sorry one more thing is that erick thohir has a history as inter owner that also bring some indonesian to know inter milan and become a fan
