I will not open a new topic for this, but this is just something that im wondering.
- If you are a guest here, unless you cant post you are the same as a new member.
- If you are a new member, you must do with a few less topics then members that are here for a longer time.
As a new member, you must find things to make yourself comfortable and you must try to have a good time in less topics then 'older members'.
Dont you guys think this is strange? Im sure you always want new members that will stay posting here, but to do this you must attract them too.
But you create more topics and sections for people with +100 or even +1000 posts....while this are the members that will stay here anyway. When you reach 1000 posts its a fact that your a member thats always here anyway, so why would you make it them more comfortable then new members?
Without the transferperiod there is less to talk about for new members, they must also get used to everything here and to the members. I think that many of them will stay away after a while because this forum isnt open to new members, its only open to visitors who are here anyway. Shouldnt this change? Its not easy to reach 100 or even 1000 posts, it can take much time and not many want to take this time.
Why dont you just open all topics for all members? A member with 1 post should be able to see and post the same as a member with 5000 posts. Ofcourse the member with 5000 is a more welcome face for so far, but you cant blame that the new ones.
To make this forum better it should be more open, and this is my point.
Something wich i also dont like, and thats why i opened this topic a while ago, is that guests can see as much as a normal member. As a member you want a bit of privacy and when you wont let guest look to every post, you actually invite them to become a member. Maybe once they are member they will posts some reply's too.
Now they can read everything anyway, but they just cant reply....this will also cost some members.
