Meanwhile, let's see if Werner... alas, he's not starting...can out do Morata today. Thank the gods it's on TUDN as well can't stand these ESPN announcers.

you should show more respect for our future attack

we are selling lukaku to chelsea for money+werner and lautaro to atletico m. for money+morata

Ref was blatantly biased in favor of Germany here. Or against France perhaps.

I thought the game was pretty entertaining, but still a bit disappointing. I didn't realize France is this much into anti football. They barely created shit except for some Mbappé counters which weren't real chances as they were offside and wouldn't even have won without a gifted own goal from Germany.

I thought Germany did pretty good despite actually being screwed/ignored by the ref on many occasions. It's just a shame they can't finish for shit. When ze Germans were finally dominating during the second half, Rabiot faked an injury to give themselves some breathing room and it worked because Germany never got back into that game. When it was injury time, he very obviously faked another injury and got himself subbed to waste more time. At least the ref made up for this unsportsmanlike bullshit by giving almost 8 minutes of extra time. But this awful behavior and counter football is the last thing you wanna see from a roster with names like France's. Now the only epic moments were Mbappé's individual quality. His insane speed and offside goal. Seeing France play is like watching a cat play with a mouse, I'm not sure anyone will be able to break them down. That just makes it more disappointing they play anti football combined with ass mentality though. I really don't hope this team will go all the way. Very unimpressed.

^ They won the world cup with this tactic.

Germany's loss is on j.low for playing a shitty 3421 without proper attacking plan, trying to accomdate all the big names at the expense of the team's balance- playing a very "soft MDF" of gundogan and kroos, playing serge gnabry as false 9 and benching Leroy sane. I don't know why he played this havertz, he looked so shit and sluggish, lacks grinta and lost possession a lot by being easily budged by France players. Low should have played a system with 2 traditional wingers in gnabry and sane.

Completely agreed. And regarding France I'm just surprised that they haven't even slightly changed this tactic in the past three years. Because one thing hasn't changed since then - it literally constantly feels like they're just being bottlenecked by it.

Now it's that nasty team that leaves a foul aftertaste every time you've watched them win. Just a gross feeling, as if you've just witnessed a peasant raping your grandmother.

for all accounts, France has only Pogba who can play creative midfielder role and he isn't kind of player who can dictate tempo, he's more like exploit the gap type hence Griezmann drops down to pull either full back or center back to out of position, creating the gap. They're happy not to have dominant possession, it's better for their game plan. Watching them is kind of boring in a whole

Will be betting on Germany to go all out in the second round and score at least 3 goals.

HT. Still zero goals scored by France this tournament. Currently a goal down vs Hungary.

Paper favorites. Can't wait for Italy to teach this team a lesson in the semis.
