I like Atletico Madrid but man, Lucas Hernandez is Dybala level diver. Not sure how the refs fall for his garbage all the time. Needs to be booked for that crap.

France not impressive at all. Goal was given to Pogba but I thought it was an own goal.

Peru get a penalty through VAR and it gets put over because of a shitty run up

The ref in the game is horrible. How do you not call the as a penalty right away?

Unless I'm missing someone, Carrillo is the only Peruvian player I have ever seen play a minute of football before.

The name is familiar but I don't remember him at all. Apparently he played for Schalke when they knocked us out of the UCL?

This game sort of reminds me of a Europa League game, 2 teams you dont really know having a good game on the pitch

Peru-Denmark is like 17th century history. South Americans have all the treasure and Europeans come to steal it away :D

Great performance by them, should have won but that's part of the game.

Peru were a much better team than I expected, actually. Probably deserved at least a draw there. They still have a chance at qualifying if they can snatch a draw against France and then manage to win against Australia with a better goal difference.
France weren't convincing at all despite the win. Deschamps is struggling to make a team out of very talented bunch. I think they should give more attacking responsibility to Pogba and have Nzonzi shoulder the defensive part along with Kante. Tolisso was disappointing, some neat passing but that's all. They are still the strongest contender to top the group, though.

He played for PSV when they reached the CL semi-finals in 2005, when they were eliminated by BBilan in stoppage time.

Peru played well and Denmark was surprisingly shit probably due to lack of experience from big tournaments as only 5 of the players have played at a WC or at a EC. I hope the performance was just due to nerves. Nevermind 3 points is 3 points...
