Argentina and Greece, if they can do the catenaccio style football, which won them the EC 04.

I think Nigeria will go along argentina. In the direct duel against Greece they will win. Simply as that. That is due the fact Nigeria have fast players, maybe the fastest NT in the world, while Greece have the slowest, so i Nigeria uses their speed like they should, they wouldn't have problems of beating Greece...

Argentina will win WC. i dont know how :D, but they will.

Look, from 1962 every second WC is won by South-American side (between them European won)

1962: Brazil
1970: Brazil
1978: Argie
1986: Argie
1994: Brazil
2002: Brazil
2010: Argie :D
and also 2018

Maybe Paraguay will win it :D

Seriously man, Argentina have the quality to win a WC, but not this one, not as long Maradona is their coach... Too bad he wastes so much good players.

I have a feeling that South Korea will qualify from this group along with Argentina. They played really well the other night against Cote D'Ivoire. I don't think Greece and Nigeria will be good enough.

I wouldn't read to much into that friendly. Ivory coast were manager less and it was a friendly.

Nigeria if they get their act together are too much for both south korea and greece talent wise. But that's the big question, they often don't play to their potential.

How else are you supposed to make judgements on teams coming up to the World Cup unless ya look at their friendly games?

You look at the quality of players. Many coaches experiment in these friendly games. Friendlies aren't reliable in my book. There's a total different level of intensity in competitive games.

I agree with ya to some extent. Quality of the players is one thing, another is how they are playing and gelling together. Take France for example, they have real quality in the squad but they clearly aren't playing well. So ya can't just see what teams have the most quality on paper, ya have to look at their form.

Obviously the intensity isn't quite the same as competitive games but coming up to the World Cup managers won't be experimenting as much. They will pretty much be playing the team that will play in the World Cup.

Also friendlies where both teams are going the the World Cup will be somewhat more reliable as an indicator than ones where only team is going.

Well france are an exception since they still have domench.

Just take a look what italy did vs switzerland and the ukraine in their two friendlies prior to world cup 2006. They were dreadfull in both but when they met the ukraine in the world cup they beat them 4-0.

Also form now isn't really relevant, we are still 3 months away from the world cup it self. I would agree a week or two before the competition but 3 months is long in football.
