Slavkovski is gonna go through the medical with Middlesbrough today. Inter and the English team have agreed on a six-month loan with an option to buy him at around €2 after the season.

Needless to say, he never replied to the hype that was given him. Not a single season he was a regular in the youth team.

I didn't know where to put these news, but as Goran is moving, we are bringing another Swede in. Helsingborg's Sebastian Carlsén is, right now I think, undergoing a medical with Inter. If everything is ok, he'll be loaned out to us and he'll play with Primavera for the remainer of the season. He is a midfielder.

So even though our prior two have failed, we seem determined to get a Swede to succeed at Inter Bengtsson retired when he was 20 or something and Goran is on the leave, and according to Expressen (Swedish paper) Goran's agent said that returning is not an option.

Anyway, Carlsén is 17 and has already played some matches with Helsingborg's 1st team. Helsingborg is in the top division in Sweden and Henrik Larsson, former Celtic and Barcelona, plays there. Carlsén has also played reguarly in the u-17 NT of Sweden.

We should have never given him an early debut. After that he only wanted to play in primavera, who are 2~3 years older than him. He could have done better with younger team where he could've got a starting spots.

I think we didn't do bad. We ususally spend 3.5m anually. i don't think we spent 2m on him, unless his wages are huge. (The biggest spent is pele with 2m, but he is more of a first team reserve than a youth)

We had Adriano and Martins, and Mancini was desperate enough to try anything different that season, so we put him for the first time in our starting X1. Can't actually blame Mancini for that.
Anyways he is off to Middlesbrough. Not yet confirmed by Inter.it. but got tis from channel 4.

[/FONT] I do hope that the rumours of 2mill options are not true. Not that I think he will ever make it to our first team, but if he plays well for Boro, we can sell him at a better price. Werent ManU giving us something like 8mill for him 2 years ago.

Its confirmed on all newspapers since yesterday. Seems to be valid. Is there an option or not? I dont know, if he would ever make it in the eleven, but we should give him some more time, hes only 18, its not like he is 25 or so.... On loan is a good idea, but i hate this 2m option thing....

ManU did offer us, though not sure if it was as high as 8M, but he didn't get a decent playing time afterwards. Ribas, Balotelli was doing better than him last year, and Napoli, Litteri and Balotelli is doing better than him this year.

2M for a youth backup (despite the hype) is not a bad price IMO

They were, in the EPL last season.

But let's be frank, we won't be lucky enough to raise too many young strikers from our Primavera team. I mean, we already raised Martins a few years ago and now SuperMario is coming to stardom. I don't think there will be a 3rd 'proper' talent coming out of our Primavera team anytime soon.

Indeed. Must have been one of the most overrated youngsters we've had. Nice lad though, but I think his agent might have had too much of an ego and tried to earn a lot of money on this kid, which he seems to have succeeded with.

He played for Sheffield Uniteds reserve team for God sake. He cannot be THAT good.

Now, since he is in my ligue (Croatian), I will get to follow him often, so I will finally be able to get a real conclusion on him..

He said that he played 6 games for Sheffield and scored 4 goals, and then got injured..
