Why is it unprofessional for athletes to meet a delegate or the leader of the fans who pay their salaries after a disaster day at work?

If anything, that's the healthiest thing ever in sports.
That isn't gonna solve anything, besides it can only create even bigger issues. Problems should always be taken care privately, in any aspect of life.

That screams disrespect towards club's values, and that includes coach and players.

If there's a necessity for a meet up with ultras, it's much better when it's done behind closed curtains, not while players are still through game nerves, and in front of whole world.

If you lose 0-6 to a random team and the fans meet up with you and they're not holding pitchforks and there's just one of them yelling at you, I'm calling it success...

Players need to be held accountable and that's the only time it's going to have an impact.

Funny thing is, for some strange reasons they went against their traditional red kit this season and has chosen a white kit as their home kit.

Till 1968 Bayern mostly had white home jerseys. That's when they moved to red.

This season's kit was inspired by 1965 kit.

They could also try looking for inspiration in the 1938–1945 logo.

I understand why people think of that when they look at that logo but reality is a a bit different.

Pre WW2 Bayern were run by Jews. Third Reich took control of the club and added swastika to their logo as a punishment (or for "cleansing" for them).

Nazis were calling Bayern (and some other clubs) Judenklub (Jew Club) which of course was a derogatory term.

I find your knowledge and interest in the german football interesting. Where does this come from?

Not answering on his behalf but German football culture is probably the most fascinating in Europe, so it's not that uncommon to see people interested and invested in it.

Also Greeks have had relatives in Germany so maybe that's an extra factor. My uncle was a long time Bayern fan and told me a lot of things about them for example. He had no relatives there nor did he live there at any moment, just loved beer and got fascinated with all things Bavarian.

I don't have a connection with Germany if that's what you're thinking. Also i don't support any German club (i am just anti-Bayern) and i have a strong dislike for their national team (Brazil fan). I am just fascinated by their league from a very young age.

I got into German football during Kaiserslautern fairytale run to the title. I was impressed how a newly promoted side could fight for the title, i was rooting for them to win, i would follow them all their way to the title and i would even buy football magazines (no Internet back then :D ) every week just to read articles about matchday in Bundesliga and especially part about their match.

So i was fascinated by German league at such an extent to follow it closely all these years (i only follow Serie A so close) and i like many things about German football. Style of football. Their fan culture. Their infrastructure. Their stadium atmosphere. Their unusual footballing stories. Their footballing projects. The emerging German coaching school. In some cases i even prefer German league over Serie A. If i have time to waste i would rather watch Hoffenheim-Gladbach than Torino-Udinese. Much more entertaining. I know it's not the cup of tea for many people but each to their own. Personally i could never follow La Liga closely even if i was paid to. Whenever i have tried to watch a match i am bored to death. The only exception is El Clasico. But there are many who find the league truly fascinating so good for them.

As for my knowledge, it's not as impressive as it may sound to someone who doesn't follow the league. If you follow a league you obviously know squads and their style of football or the way those clubs are run. But some of it has come to me really by coincidence. For example, the fact Bayern had white kits till 1969 is on their wikipedia page. Their commemoration to 1965 kit was on footy headlines article for their new jersey. When you're interested in something it isn't hard to learn that staff.

Thanks for the hindsight.

No problem. It was only natural to make that assumption. It was also my assumption till i stumbled on the truth few months ago on twitter. A football page had posted Bayern logos throughout the years and obviously people were focusing on that one. Someone said on replies Nazis did it only to humiliate Bayern, i made a bit research about it and i found out the truth.

Few updates from the world of German football.

Deutsche Pokal has been at its craziest. In semifinals we have Leverkusen who will face a 2. Liga team, Fortuna Düsseldorf, while another 2. Liga team, Kaiserslautern, will face Saarbrücken from 3. Liga who have already eliminated Bayern, Eintracht and Gladbach. So we will certainly have a team from a lower tier in the final.

Kane has broken few records in the last few days. He became the first player in the history of the league who scores 4 hat-tricks in his debut season. He broke the record of Uwe Seeler with the most Bundesliga goals in a debut season (30) and he's only 10 goals away from reaching Lewandowski all-time record of 41 goals in a season. His injury make things a bit harder to break that record though.

Lastly, on the title fight Leverkusen have a relatively easy but potentially challenging schedule in order to maintain the lead against Bayern. Freiburg (A), Hoffenheim (H), Union Berlin (A), Werder (H). It's imperative not to drop points in that run of games as schedule gets a bit tougher then with matches against Dortmund, Stuttgart and the always dangerous away match at Frankfurt.

On the other hand, Bayern only tough match till the end is Stuttgart. There's also "Der Klassiker" straight after international break but we all know how it will pan out. Last time Dortmund got anything from a match in Munich Jurgen Klopp was still their coach.

If i have time to waste i would rather watch Hoffenheim-Gladbach than Torino-Udinese. Much more entertaining.

Related to this:

There have been 289 Serie A games played this season vs. 234 Bundesliga games, yet the Bundesliga has seen almost as many goals scored (752) as Serie A has (754).

Projected out over the rest of the season, Serie A is barely projected to scrape past the Bundesliga in the final tally (992 vs. 983), almost entirely helped out because of Serie A having nine match days left vs. eight for the Bundesliga, but I feel like a good bet could be set-up on this topic.

(La Liga has seen 764 goals, and of course the Premier League has been a shooting gallery with 917 goals scored, if I'm counting correctly. The Premier League (1.62) barely out-paces the Bundesliga (1.61) in terms of average goals scored by each team.)

This isn't a blanket "more goals = better" post, this is just me sharing some numbers, anyone reading this can do whatever they want with them.
