Perfect game tonight, for many reasons. There were so many highlights.

Let’s start with the obvious here: Fantastic result, we finally broke our away curse against Genoa.
The team displayed everything we could wish for. Very good movement, effective in front of the goal, kept a clean sheet, looked motivated for 90 minutes (haven’t seen much of that throughout the season).

But what is just as important as the result is that we appear to be a unit. It was beautiful to see our players celebrating together, to me it looked special, I haven’t seen this desire in a very long time.

Special shoutouts to Gagliardini (man of the match imo) and also Icardi.


This game gives me hope, more so than the derby win. To me this looks like the best line up that we can currently field so I hope Spalletti will stick to it until the end of the season.

We need to keep the momentum going against Atalanta at the Meazza. Roma and Milan drew, Lazio lost. We need to capitalize on the screw ups our rivals are having.

Steven and Marotta forced him to change his tactics. If it were up to him, you would have seen his boys Valero, Nainggolan, Vecino and Keita starting and we woud be losing. So credit should go to Marotta or whoever put some temporary sense into this loser.

Now that the game is over we can ponder on some serious stuff that really matters.

Considering all the shit we went through, we are only 7 points behind Napoli now. When we beat them last time, we were 5 points behind them.

Good game. In fact, generally speaking, this turned out to be a great matchday for us with milan, Lazio, and Roma all dropping points.
Tonight was one of those situations where it's extremely hard to say whether we made Genoa look like a bunch of amateurs or they made us look like Barça. I mean, we played well and all, but I haven't seen such a pathetic display against us in years.

Anyway, we got the 3 points, scored 4 goals, both our drama queens got on the scoresheet (Perisic's goal was even assisted by Icardi) and most of the lads seemed to have no particular beef with Icardi (unlike Spalletti, who ignored the #9 and was ignored back during the sub). Maybe it's all pretend, but honestly I don't care as long as they play well and get us back to CL football next year. Then, come summer, all the accounts will be settled (at least, that's my hope). Now it's important we don't let ourselves get carried away by this win, because Atalanta on Sunday will be a completely different story.

Excellent team effort against a Genoa team that looked out ideas from the off. The play by play guys, here in the US, were more interested in the Icardi drama than the game. Impressed with Gags and Poli efforts and actually how sharp Icardi was after his long absence.

Fortunately for fans in the US, the Icardi drama will be broadcast on ESPN NEWS Sunday.

brozovic gag is clearly the best midfield duo Inter can deploy this season. it gives the best balance of creativity and defensive work. when vecino is playing, all the work rests on brozovic's shoulders.

by now, what is clear to nearly every supporter should also be clear to spalletti.

i find the uruguayan the right man when we need to go assault mode, otherwise he tends to fuck the tactical plan.
