Surprised more coaches don't use this honestly. Completely clear way to get a message to your team in a loud stadium. You just have to be willing to let the other team know as well.

Ronald de Boer said that his brother Frank rejected Pool two seasons ago and Inter more recently. :eek:blivious:

Well fu him too!

In the interview he said that he also rejected Inter two years ago, not recently.

Time to bump this thread on who should replace Mazzarri at the end of the year.

The only two options I know well that would be a big step in the right direction are Montella and Simeone of Fiorentina and Atletico. but i sadly see no chance in hell simeone will leave the cl runners up and liga champions for a broken inter. it doesnt add up. even if the argument is that he is a man who follows his heart, he is undoubtedly ten times as tied to the red and white shirt than to the black and blue. dont forget about that goal for lazio against us in 2002 either.

Montella, on the other hand, can bring us back to Europe and make us challenge for the Scudetto. hes been a boss with fiorentina, despite their dreadful luck.

Some other notable available options are Frank De Boer and Jorge Jesus. Because I don't know much about either, I've done quick research on both.

The first is comfortable with youth and plays attractive possession football (encouraging our players to have as many touches on the ball as possible), but there would be concerns over adapting to Serie A, a strong defense, and his European record (notably losing on an aggregate score of 6-1 to RBS). He would also apply a lot more emphasis on our academy if he came to Inter. Ive also heard he can only win playing well. Would he be a long term option? I don't think so - but he could set a foundation like Montella could. I'm sure he would be a step in the right direction by Thohir regardless of whether or not he does well here (like Enrique and Garcia for Roma).

The second has been at Benfica for 5 years. Heard very good things about him. Apparently AC Milan wanted him in the summer but he turned them down. He's worth looking at because his contract is expiring at the end of this season. Last season, he won the Portuguese league and cup, was runners up in the Europa League final (after being runners up to Chelsea the year before), and won the Portuguese super cup in August as well. Has a fairly impressive 67% win percentage over his entire stay at the club.

Jorge Jesus is an interesting option I never thought of. Benfica isn't looking all that great this year, but they sell so much talent every summer it's hard to stay consistent. I really like the way they play football though.

Another option if we're set on sticking with a three man defense is Marcelo Bielsa. He's already having trouble with the president and board of Marseille. It's also in his contract that he can opt-out after this season, and he says he already knows if he's going to take the option or not. Meanwhile Marseille are leading the french league and have won 5 straight after a poor start. His cons are pretty well documented. He always seems to lose his players after a season or two due to his maniacal nature and intense training. His style also isn't really sustainable for a team that wants to play on three fronts.

I'd like Bielsa. It would be a 1 year thing at most, as he is a crazy personality to deal with, but it could be interesting.\

I also liked that guy who used to coach Basel, I think he is in Russia now.

IMO, De Boer, would be a complete failure at Inter. We don't the type of players he needs nor Serie A fits his style.

I like Simeone, Garcia(when is his contract expiring?), undecided about Montella mainly because I'm afraid he would be a small team manager.

I didn't know much about Jorge Jesus but searched the web and found some good articles about him. He seems like a very interesting option.

Yeah, De Boer may struggle after Mazzarri, especially if the new manager is appointed with the expectation of making an immediate impact.

Roma's Garchia? Come on, I highly doubt a man who's at the helm of a successful ride so far with Roma would look at Inter. Simone is a delusional's dream. Montella is a gamble and Jorge seems like the only realistic option between the "big" names.

Mazzari was at the helm of a successful ride with Napoli so thinking Garcia might accept Inter job at the end of hic contract is not really out of this world.

I agree about the last part. Jorge seems like the most realistic option.

I say let's start spamming all the football forums with made up rumor that Jorge is coming to Inter at the end of this season. Trust me, in a few days you'll see the rumor all over the media

I think the key difference is that Garcia, at least for now, doesn't have the same tension that was building up between De Laurentiis and Mazzarri months before his departure.

I genuinely believe this is how our mercato rumors begin.

Kind of impressed with Bielsa's work. He's back to his 3-at-the-back shit, but his teams seems to thrive regardless. 3-3-3-1 is the most awkward-looking formation but he seems to find a way for it to work.

Mazzarri also couldn't take his Napoli side any further than he already had. Imo Garcia's Roma can only improve.

I just want to say I would take AVB with open arms. How long left on his contract with Zenit?

Sportmediaset reports that David Moyes will be in the stands for our game vs Napoli studying us as a possible successor to WM.

He didn't do so well in M.Utd but I generally liked him in Everton.
I know he would be an improvement to WM but how much?!

GdS suggested that Guidolin,Zenga and Mancini are also in the mix if WM doesn't stop this crisis.

Why no Spalletti?! If they already speculating...

Or end the season with WM and then get Mihajlovic or Simeone(not likely)

Not sure why Spalletti's name hasn't come up yet, but out of all those names I would take Mancini back for sure.
