I was just scrolling through the Biabiany thread, and I read someone saying how important he is because he's our only right pure winger. Than I started thinking, hmm wasn't there a kid in our primavera last year that was one of our most impressive players that just so happened to be a right winger?
This is a missed opportunity for us to possibly develop an academy player into a functioning member of the first team. This kids probably not as good as Biabiany simply based off experience, but if theres one thing I've noticed from the kids who've been in our academy for a prolonged period of time it's that they actually typically have some type of football IQ. Gnokouri, Benassi, Baldini, Bonnazoli, Dimarco, Puscas, etc. (basically everyone besides Delgado).
They all at least respect the simple aspects of team play. This kid was no worse than Gnokouri, Bonazzoli, or Puscas last year but now he's getting no playing time at Bari. Bonazzoli is getting none at Samp and same for Puscas, who is also benched at Bari. I honestly don't see how we or Bonazzoli benefit from Manaj coming in and being our back up CF at 18 when we have a more cultured player on our books who's been in black and blue since he was 9. We need to take better care and more control over the growth of our talents. Who do you think is more confident and better off right now? Gnokouri who was just called for Ivory Coast despite limited playing time or Camara at Bari?
I understand the notion of loaning players so they can gain more experience. But my point is right now IMO both Inter and the players would be better off if for example we had Bonnazoli getting Manaj minutes and Camara in the squad as a option for RW. I'm not saying every kid who comes out the primavera should go straight into the first team, but when we have lesser players or holes in the squad and we're loaning out our best talents to teams where they never play it just seems like we're hurting ourself in multiple ways.
