news articles do so little research

afaik, we dont ever loan out a player with 1 year left on the contract. They've checked transfermarkt, and his loan contract expires in June...

His Inter contract expires in 2024...

Apparently that loan move to Cagliari is very close, he has already agreed.

I really hope he gets minutes there. On the other hand, just getting into the atmosphere of the relegation battle might be quite an experience (if they end up there).

Cagliari deserve a 'FUCK OFF' from Inter as far as I remember.

His agent confirmed today coming out of Inter HQ that he will be playing in Serie A - Frosinone and Genoa are both interested.

Any Dutch fans (or anyone else) that followed his season in the Eredivisie? Is he considered a big talent?

Di Marzio reported Oristanio could join Cagliari on loan with option to buy for 4m. That's a terrible deal for one of our most promising youngsters. I have no doubts we will add a buyback clause but the problem is we can't afford activating buyback clauses and we end up losing the players for peanuts, like it happened with Pirola and Di Gregorio.

This is dumb. I thought it was going to be a dry loan. I also haven’t heard any mention of a counter-option even though it’s likely that there is one. Hope we don’t set it prohibitively high like we did with Pirola.

The problem with dry loans is that nobody wants to develop a player if he can't make any money him, or buy him.

Adding buy-back clauses is the best thing we can do.

This. This might be the only way to go forward. Maybe Oristanio wasn't interested in going back to Volendam anymore and he wants to test himself in Serie A.

Co-ownerships aren't allowed anymore so this is the way to do it.

The talk about the figures is another matter then should they be higher (option) or lower (buyback) but in general our academy is the plusvalenza generator. And this is the way we do it. But as OkiOki said this is the way to incentivize the loaner clubs to actually use the player. They take the risk so there needs to be a reward for the risk.

Pirola case is an example of those figures being too far from each other, 5m and 13m. Mulattieri case was the counter example, 4.5m and 5.5m.

I can't really tell is 4m too low, buyback clause is I guess the relevant part. If it's 10m, it sounds like a lot.

Makes more sense for us but will he play there? Let's hope he's so good they can't bench him too much.

Option makes sense for us as long as there is a counter option at a similar value, or at least counter-option for multiple years. I believe we had something like that for Dimarco, when he was on loan for 1.5 years at Verona.
