Didn't see a topic for friendly matches - well there is one for NT friendlies but not for clubs.

Right now is LA Galaxy v Real Madrid, if any of you are interested.

Good call, Vasca. Those of us who do not live in Europe get the chance to see some top teams compete over the summer. I love this World Football Challenge (link) idea. I got to see Inter-Man City in Baltimore last year (which I believe may have been Rafa's first match in charge of the club?). Unfortunately Inter are not participating this year, but I will probably go see the CL Final rematch (Man Goo vs. Barca) at FedEx Field in Landover, MD on July 30! Pretty excited for that. Anyone other Yanks going by chance?

Needed a lot of help getting off the pitch.

1-0 to Vancouver at the half after a deflected goal credited to Camilo Sanvezzo. He also forced an incredible save out of Joe Hart on a free kick around the 15 minute mark.

I usually root for Mancini but prefer seeing MLS teams giving European contenders trouble. Nothing like DC United beating Milan!

1-1 City off a corner while the Vancouver Canucks were looking pretty good... Balotelli gets the box-out on the Guidetti goal. (Video)

2-1 final City mostly outclassed Vancouver esp at the end but they hung around and were competitive for stretches. SWP goal was a dirty blast. (Video)

Also, Everton are playing DC United in DC today... unfortunately I wont be able to go out and see the match. Mucha is wearing the camoflauge top It doesnt look that bad on a GK.

DC United are getting worked... down 2-0 after 20 min. Not playing their strongest lineup, tbh. Then again, neither is Everton.

Its not about taking seriously. This is about building match fitness. Fergie said last time we played first team players only for 45 mins in every game, and in first few games we look knackered after 70 odd mins. So he is giving our first team players enough time to build fitness..

Also we played few back ups too..

Yeah but I'm saying that Barca don't seem to be treating the same way as you, but rather as a way to showcase our youth and let THEM get some game time against good senior sides. We had Xavi, Puyol and Pique on the bench and chose to play Cuenca, Carmona, Balliu, Riverola and Espinosa instead, rather than let those top players get a run out. Yes you guys played backups too but yours were still from your senior team.

Yeah, fair enough.. Impressed with Cleverley. Read the game so well made many crucial interceptions.

Also Welbeck who had very good preseason. Can't wait for season to start to see how these 2 performs..
