Poor mister Coco even the media now make fun of him being a party boy before a professional footballer.

St. Etienne Are Finished With Coco Francesco Coco's long-planned move to St. Etienne has fallen through. Why? Take your pick...

Francesco Coco, playboy and erstwhile footballer, will not be moving to St. Etienne.

The former Italian international's move to the French club has fallen through; instead, he'll remain at Internazionale until such a time as another move presents itself.

The defender was all set for a move to the Greens, even going so far as to travel to France on Tuesday for a medical. Excited about the move, he was pressing for a permanent transfer ahead of a loan deal.

Then came a contractual dispute. St. Etienne were still keen on the move but Coco, with two years remaining on his Inter contract, was unable to join as a free agent.

However, this was not seen as unsurpassable. With St. Etienne still looking to land the player, the defender and both clubs were set to reach an agreement by Tuesday next week at the latest.

Then followed a bombshell from the Greens. Laurent Roussey, trainer at St. Etienne, said, "We finally have all the medical data, which indicates that the player will not be ready to play right away.

"We have abandoned this deal and will look elsewhere."

Coco took this as a lack of respect on St. Etienne's part, implying that he was not in shape to play, and angrily declared to the media that St. Etienne had not even the courtesy to contact him in person.

"Nobody has called me, St. Etienne had already said everything went fine. It's inconceivable that they have behaved in this way. They lack respect. I have no physical problem. I would have been up and running in two weeks," fumed the stopper.

Coco, once the darling of the national setup, has 17 caps, and has also won two Italian titles with AC Milan.

Pirlo was crap when he played for us. Moreover he and Rui Costa were playmakers and Cuper never ever played with playmakers.

Do you have any other "bad" transfers that Cuper made? Please also remember we came withing 45 minutes of winning a Scudetto with Moggi in-charge with a particularly crap team including a certain traitor.

Pirlo was crap? How many chances did he get, playing from start during his Inter career?

pirlo was crap when he played for us

but cuper's tactics never allowed creativity

bad transfers... giuly, vivas, kily, adani, almeyda, conceicao., okan..

not to mention, saying no to kaka, ronaldinho, rui costa...

i dont care how close he got to the scudetto, his style was boring, predictable and relied on vieri way too much to ever succeed

i was amazed it took so long to decide the damn scudetto that year

I love this from Channel 4:

“Whoever they find now will always be half the player I am.”
Francesco Coco tells St Etienne they’ll regret snubbing him, although someone half the player he is would be a quarter of an average full-back.

Nobody wanted him so we are stuck with him. He won't play even coppa italia. Probably just train with the primavera squad.
Indeed, i actually dont understand why we took him back, its almost sure that there is no minute left to play for him.
He will never get back in his old form, so its done for him....but maybe there is a chance we can take him on the bench for our Champions League matches? There are a few defenders who are not allowed to play, so he might be a back-up.
