Like I've said in the other thread, this is a very nice idea, but you guys have to think it through. First of all this justineTV is a big nono. This was the first service that was very popular that allowed streaming, and justineTV was gaining from that fact. The result, is them limiting number of viewers from one country, unless you buy a premium account.

I'm a member of the polish site, that has a streaming channel(polish sport channels) on it, and they have done it perfectly. First of all, the streaming is done through sopcast, that allows a buffer. So they have like a 1-2 mins delay, that allows people to watch the game without any breaks (this delay allows everybody to have time to download the streaming part until the time it has to be aired on your PC).

Second, sopcast works like Torrent. So instead, of everybody downloading the stream from one place, everybody is connected with everybody, and this helps in spreading the stream around. Third, it allows the stream to have high quality, without the problems of breaks(due to the torrent like streaming + couple minutes delay).

Justine, from what I know offers neigher of those, which means, only some of you with great connection, will be able to watch your channel flawlesly, and I think your priority should be to make the channel watchable to the most people, and most people don't have 4MB/s connection.

one thing about justin.tv is the stupid pop-up that comes along and says that your country has reached its maximum number of user. its just a front for them to try and make you sign up to them.

It only happens on some channels though. you used to be able to block it with ultra surf, but they have modified it now so that you cant even use that.

if you get it early vito..maybe do u test run on it to see if it can be veiwed by everyone?

I suspect that will be tough. I can't believe some of the shitty internet options available to people. I have 10 Mbps now and I want to increase it to 30 or 50 soon...

Putting a buffer, and like a 1-2 minute delay would solve most of those peoples problems, unless they really had some 1999 internet connection...

That's mainly because internet is seen as a threat where I live. Bandwidths more than 128k are illegal I could get a little higher because I was a ms student. Anyways thanks for the great idea and effort.

Well, unlike you have a very loud interista neighbour, what's really the difference if you will start watching from 20:45, or from 20:47. Really, the difference is minimal, and besides, most of the streems are done this way, for the reason I've put.

You will make it live(like almost no delay), and only 1/10 of the guys will be able to watch this stream of yours. It's not an issue for me, cause like I've said, currently I'm watching most of the games on the polish site, but I'm telling you many people will be annoyed at the screen breaks, at the image distortions, sound distortions etc.

Oh. Well, try to pay attention to it guys. If the server will be in US, and if it will be on Vito's PC, then it will be in US, the guys from US should have no problem, even if quality will be high and no delay. But if it will be with Europe, Asia etc. it shouldn't be as nice.
