You are not seeing the whole picture, there where actually some clubs who would have paid cash for him, instead our board deside to cancel his contract when we could have gotten money for him, thats dumb if you ask me, and those clubs is the exact same club that Vieri can go too now for free.

guys, guys, guys, guys! name one club who would actually PAY for a 32 year old player who...

A) will cost heaps to buy from the team
B) will get heaps during the season from Salaray.

Its just like Figo, no one can afford to buy him + pay his wages. they can only do one.

Its the same case for Vieri.

Tnhak You Vieri for the good memories and the great goals :star:

WHo on earth can believe such a dumbass management like ours letting go of another top player(although old) for completely FREE !!!! :yuck:

Did these guys go to school, study economics,marketing..ANYTHING.

We might not get 50 million for Vieri that Chelsea are offering for Gilardinho right now but we could have gotten 5,8,12 million even...Even one million is some kind of money...

WHAT WILL HAPPEN NOW?!!

Juve will sell Trezegay to Chelsea for at least 20 million, and Get Vieri for FREE...IF this happens i will go BANANAAS..
This would mean we gave Juve 20 million plus Vieri. :yuck:
He better go to Atletico or i will be convinced Branca,or someone in that management is a Juve fan....First Canna for free now Vieri :yuck:

Inter release Vieri
by Peter ORourke - created on 1 Jul 2005

Internazionale have cancelled the contract of Christian Vieri, thus paving the way for him to move on.

The Italian international has been linked with a move to England and Tottenham Hotspur in the Italian media.

Vieri endured a difficult season with inter last term, with the player even falling out with the club's supporters.

The former Juventus man failed to hold down a regular place in the Inter side last season due to the emergence of Adriano and Obafemi Martins and Inter have decided to release him from his contract, which still had a year to run.

"Inter and Christian Vieri have mutually decided to rescind the contract that was due to expire on June 30, 2006 early," read a club statement.

"Negotiations between the player and the club progressed smoothly, and the documents related to the issue were registered at the Lega Calcio (Football League) offices this morning (Friday).

"FC Internazionale thank Christian Vieri for having contributed for six seasons to the history of the club.

"Christian Vieri thanks Inter and its fans for the professional respect and affection which characterised the relationship."

The news is sure to alert a number of clubs, with Tottenham thought to be keen on signing the 31-year-old.

It has also been suggested that Chelsea could be interested in the experienced striker, as they look to bolster their attack following the departures of Mateja Kezman and Mikael Forssell this summer.

A number of foreign sides are also thought to be chasing Vieri and there is sure to be no shortage of admirers for the former Lazio man.

Altobelli sees Vieri at Milan Friday 1 July, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inter legend Alessandro Altobelli says he wouldn’t be surprised to see Christian Vieri sign for Milan following his Nerazzurri split.

The striker mutually agreed to cancel his Inter contract on Friday and the race for his signature has already begun.

"If he has decided to terminate a deal worth £17m then it is because he has received an interesting offer, perhaps from Milan," the former striker told Datasport.

"Am I joking? No, I’m being very serious and ready to put a wager on it. I don’t think he’ll join Juventus, I doubt he’ll move to Spain or England. Vieri will go to Milan!"

The Rossoneri could in theory make a bid for Vieri, seeing their problems in trying to keep Chelsea owned Hernan Crespo and signing Alberto Gilardino from Parma.

Vieri scored 122 goals in six seasons for the club, just six less than Altobelli, but his exit hasn’t surprised the former Azzurri ace.

"A love-hate relationship had developed over the past few years and it was clear that it would end like this," added the 1982 World Cup winner. "He was also contested by some fans."

The Coppa Italia holders have undoubtedly lost a good player but Altobelli still sees life after Vieri.

"Inter won’t have a problem in attack without Christian," he added. "Boss Roberto Mancini still has Obafemi Martins, Alvaro Recoba, Julio Cruz and Adriano."

football italia great job.

Come on Vieri!!!!! bahaha. :dielaugh: :dielaugh:

I will be happy if Cassano joins us now. Then we can play Adriano+Cassano/Recoba

I personally still think Martins should not be a starting 11. Yes he is fast and can turn defenders around, but he lacks the experience and finishing that Vieri has :depress:

How do you know? Your only assuming. No one other then Vieri knows what he wanted to do.

Hopefully Recoba is the next to go. Then we can start rebuilding the attack using our 3 remaining strikers, Adriano, Martins, and Cruz. Then a high quality forward can be signed and Makinwa also finally added. Or perhaps Cruz will go and a high class forward and Makinwa will be added and a primavera/Eliakwu/Pinilla will be brought in.

I actually see this as Recoba's best chance to shine next to Adriano..

Although the other side of the argument is that Mancini - Recoba relationship isnt the greatest so he could be shown the door too...

Give Recoba a chance :star:

Give Recoba ANOTHER CHANCE? How many has he already received? He's been tried at every position. He's been inconsistent in all of them. He's gotten injured after being tried at each and every position. He's not gonna magically stop being injury prone. He's still soaking in the dollar bills. I say we sell him and start fresh upfront.

It doesn't take a long time for new forwards to adapt, especially if they are in the Serie A. Perhaps if we got rid of Recoba and Vieri we could make a bid at Gilardino. We'd then have a powerhouse attack for years to come. We could include Morfeo and any other players needed in the deal to get Parma to agree. Now that seems like a good plan.

this isnt Fantasy Football, it isnt a game. Money does not grow on trees!!!!!!!!! Vieri is the main reason that he left, mostly it was his choice, he wanted to play more.

We freed ourselves of about 11 million dollars! This money can be used to buy players like Samuel or Chivu or anybody else.

But instead u guys want ****** everything. U want Samuel for 25million, Chivu for 10 and Vieri to say with nothing but stars in our team, So that they complain about playing time. WAKE UP!

Moratti isnt made out of gold, if u wanted Vieri to stay then give them the extra money, and then how would u conside keeping Vieri happy??

he wants to play in the freaking world cup! How can he do that with Oba and Adriano.

This was not something our Management is responsible for.

u guys are PATHETIC!!!!!

Couldn't have said it better. You're a phuckin legend helal, my man! :proud:

Bobo was realesed in total agreement with the club. He wanted it, and we did as well. It was once again a good move on financial/technical point of view. It hurts like hell to see him go on a human point of view, there's no denying that. I miss him already.

Now, as for our future.

1) Cruz MUST stay put. He'll be Adriano's bench player, we absolutely need him. He's reliable, works hard and he'll have the chance to play more.

2) Makinwa makes sense now. Adriano and Martins should be our starters, Cruz bench player for Adriano, Makinwa bench player for Martins. Recoba will be the 'joker' is he stays.

'Ruil Figo voor Davids nagenoeg rond'

1/7/2005 19:40

In English :
Real Madrid and Internazionale almost have reached an agreement about the change Figo-Davids, following various Spanish and Italians newspapers.

They both have no future by their clubs. Figo contract is until June 2006, Davids' contract till the summer from 2007.

Marco Branca was yesterday in Madrid to negotiate about the transfer.

It's not the first time that players from the clubs are linked. Samuel and Solari where called before this. Davids was called to, as a change-object. The deal isn't managed yet.

Sorry for my bad English
