It's going to be difficult to follow the last GP of the season since it should finish just about when the derby starts

I am going to record the race as I will be watching the Man u v Gooner game followed by our derby game. I heard there is a big chance of rain but I hope this will not mess things up for Rubens.

Yeah I'm gonna watch Man Utd, then the race and only tape the last bit if the derby starts. Basically my arse is going to stay on the sofa for hours! :D :dielaugh:

Well Rubens didn’t manage to win his home GP, but it was still an entertaining race with another South American Montoya getting the final win of the season. Miserable was second and Rubens was third.

This thread will surely float away into the abyss as there will be no more racing till around March, so here are the final standings and hopefully I will be back in 2005 for a more competitive championship:

2004 Drivers Championship

1 Michael Schumacher German Ferrari 148
2 Rubens Barrichello Brazilian Ferrari 114
3 Jenson Button British BAR-Honda 85
4 Fernando Alonso Spanish Renault 59
5 Juan Pablo Montoya Colombian Williams-BMW 58
6 Jarno Trulli Italian Renault 46
7 Kimi Räikkönen Finnish McLaren-Mercedes 45
8 Takuma Sato Japanese BAR-Honda 34
9 Ralf Schumacher German Williams-BMW 24
10 David Coulthard British McLaren-Mercedes 24
11 Giancarlo Fisichella Italian Sauber-Petronas 22
12 Felipe Massa Brazilian Sauber-Petronas 12
13 Mark Webber Australian Jaguar-Cosworth 7
14 Olivier Panis French Toyota 6
15 Antonio Pizzonia Brazilian Williams-BMW 6
16 Christian Klien Austrian Jaguar-Cosworth 3
17 Cristiano da Matta Brazilian Toyota 3
18 Nick Heidfeld German Jordan-Ford 3
19 Timo Glock German Jordan-Ford 2
20 Zsolt Baumgartner Hungarian Minardi-Cosworth 1

2004 Constructors Championship

1 Ferrari 262
2 BAR-Honda 119
3 Renault 105
4 Williams-BMW 88
5 McLaren-Mercedes 69
6 Sauber-Petronas 34

in preseason testing the Renualts seem to be the ones who have came out with the best new car with Alonso and Fisi flying around doing quick times!

I think the only team who could possibly challenging King Schumacher would be McLaren, but seriously, it really looks like the opponents are going to do little to bother him.

If Button went to Williams, he could have done very well. Heidfield? LOL!

I really don't know too much about F1 but I've seen every race since about 97 and I absolutely Love Ferrari and of Course Schumacher.

Kimi has been shame to us. Mika never acted non-professional..

Actually he doesn't act pro way likw him.. The latest incident, don't know how many have heard it, was when he wanked in puplic strip-club in London. Well then finnish journalists, ofcourse judged him and then Kimi said in a pro way: "Finland is crap country".

Mika was role model for every finn. He wasn't so great in english. But he was always great to journalists. Worked hard. Didn't get to his goal easiest way (yeah mclaren was crap) but when he got there he didn't change at all. He wasn't best friends with Schumacher, but when Schumacher fell apart in Gp's press conference (was it Hockenheim), Mika was first with Schumacher hugging him. Now many years after Schumacher has stated many times how he miss mika F1 world. And so does every finn. Kimi is nothing comparing to Mika.
