Has anyone else held the adizeros in person? You can't even describe how light they are.

I can't imagine. Mine feel extremely light and I think the Adizero's are 2 ounces lighter!

I'll either buy the low end model of these for $61 (retail: $66.99) or the ones below for $76 (retail: $118.99) (I get discounts from the store I work at)

Any experience with them or similar models? Which should I get?

@LaBling:

I had a Nike zoom air with studs like the first picture. I wore that when I played as a CB. What I don't like about studs is if you do lots of tackles, they are easier to break, but when you are marking players it gives more grip than blades especially if you play on a wet pitch but can be bad when it is a hard rocky pitch. I broke 4 of the studs on 1 boot within 1 year about 50-60 games.

Now I am wearing adidas predator with blades (2nd picture) and I wore nike mercurial vapour blades too before. I played mostly as a midfielder or striker lately. What I like about blades, when you run, you don't feel stuck because studs can stuck on the soils. It lasts longer for tackles. But, it gives you lacks of stability if you play on a wet pitch. I haven't worn my adidas much but my nike lasted for 4-5 years. It finally broke but only 1 blade.

I would prefer the blades but it really depends on what you need and where you are gonna play and in what conditions.

hope this helps.

I ended up getting the second ones and I like them so far. My only complaint is that they are a little big around the heel so I have to wear two pairs of socks. I usually wear them on grass pitches that are in decent shape, and occasionally on turf, but I mostly wear my adipures when on turf.

Wow. That adipure looks nice. I like adidas shape because it is easier to control the ball, Nike has a wider front but lighter shoes. But I always need a lighter shoes because I'm not tall and don't have long legs.

This is my predator. I bought it very cheap few years ago. 35 GBP.

The part where the plastic attaches to the leather by the toe of my adipures is coming apart; I think only glue is holding it together. I've seen it happen to a lot of people.

Oh yes. you can glue it I guess or stitch it. lol. I had my nike zoom air long time ago happened like that as well. I went to a shoe repair shop and they nailed the bottom plastic. 3 shots of nails and it lasted for few more months until I broke 90% of the studs.

It usually because you kick the ball with the toe end. I always use the top part of my feet instead of the toes. I broke my toe nail 3x because of that. lol.

There were 2 left in the shop that day. the one like mine and the one you just posted but with the red like bilan's red. So, I go where it will suit my jersey more. lol.

I actually think it's from lunging for balls and tackles and dragging my toes behind me. Good advice about maintaining it.

It could be. However, once it happens, it won't last too long because the next thing might happen (and it happened to me) the sole plastic broke into half right in the middle. That is the time for shopping:

Ana. For training boots, if the inside sole are still intact, I mean no holes, you can glue it with strong rubber glue. However, it won't last long. What I usually did I went to shoe repair shop and asked them to stitch all around the sole (Right, left, front back). But of course it would not look as mice as it was :D

just share some of my experiences. Hopefully it could be useful. My mom loves me because I seldom buy shoes in my life. haha. I got 4 pair of football boots, 3 pairs of leather shoes, 5 pairs of casual shoes, and 4 pairs of training shoes. In my entire life.

hahaha. that's right. I never care about my shoes but you should. For a girl, I like the new nike. This nike model is so damn light. the sole is not hard and heavy. Flexible sole for running. comes with yellow, green, pink, purple, white, etc. There are lots of other style for the same model. Some of them can use ipod nike equipment. BUT, it can only be used for running and gym. Not really if you're wanna play tennis or badminton. I'm gonna get something like this for my sister's bday.

hmm... I'll definitely look into them. I usually stick with adidas, but it's worth a shot - if anything for running shoes. I need more, anyway. Thanks!

b4, heels are bad for your posture :p

I wish i had boots like Uncommon's when i played :( I wore Puma Kings which along with the Adidas Copa Mundials were top of the range until all this lightweight synthetic colourful stuff started coming out.

Maradona and Matthaus wore Puma Kings :D Maradona once revealed that he always removed the inner sole of the boot so that there was as minimal space between the soul of his feet and the ball. Trying to achieve an almost bare foot feel with the ball. Todays boots already incorporate this in the design.
