They haven't been doing well in these games so far so they will desperately go for a win which will probably be good for us and we might smash them with counter-attacks, but however we need to quit doing stupid errors in defence.

And players like Rossi, Gomez, Joaquin, Cuadrado ect will be out because of their injuries though

(My first match thread, so I'm currently either 100% or 0% depending on how you feel)

Good luck

May the FIF be with you

Before Cagliari I thought we had some momentum going and that the Palermo game was only an anomaly. So I can't really say what to predict for this game. I'd say a goalless draw is coming, but then we will lose again or win 5:0, so I don't know.

The season hardly started and already some players played too much, and some almost haven't played. Strange stuff.

Well Its still early in the season so mistakes like the Cagliari match is a bit easier to take and it can serve as a good lesson for the team and even Mazzarri himself. We cannot be dropping points against these kind of teams. A repeat of last season is completely unacceptable.

I still believe something similar is going to happen like it did last year.

Luckily Napoli, Milan and Fiorentina are still behind us, for now. But we have to start getting points or we will be -20 points again mid-season behind the first two.

This. I mean I might predict a 3-0 result, without knowing who will be 3 and who will be 0.

This is what i think. I can't take anything less then a win from this match. Fiorentina are playing in the europa league just as we are. Therefore we are facing a team who are not only 5 players (there best 5 too be honest) depleted, but have no choice in their mid week fixture then to field there strongest side, and then back that up with that same side 3 days later. We need to win this because fiorentina is shit. We may also be shit, but they are shitter. Our mid week fixture should not feature anybody who plans to start in Florence, this is the one advantage we have over fiorentina. They don't have a squad to rest. Play Mbaye, bonnazoli (amazing in the primavera so why not?) and exploit fiorentina for everything we have. I see this match as an opportunity, not something to go into saying "oh shit fiorentina", this is a chance to play a strong line up, solid defense, Kova ripping a weak fiorentina midfield a new one and our attackers to go all out. Its a chance to restore the confidence we need. We win this 0-3 or 1-4 and we can put the cagliari match behind us and attempt to get back on our feet. A win is a must, Fiorentina is over rated and they have nobody to carry them. I don't think any of us should be tolerating Fiorentina being better then us.

but on the other hand a draw or a loss will only decrease our confidence even more than after cagliari, i agree we should rest major players but not all of them as we have a history of fucking up so called easy games

Paolo Tagliavento, from Terni, will take charge of Sunday 5 October’s Serie A match between Fiorentina and Inter.

If you don't remember him, here's some refreshments:

There's also the quick wiki: Tagliavento has been refereeing in the Serie A since 2004 and since the 2003-04 Serie A season, officiating 87 matches to date. In the Serie B he has notched up 14 games, whilst he has also officiated 2 Coppa Italia in 09-10, as well as a relegation match in 2009. He has refereed a total of 17 European Cup games. He is also very popular in Italy for officiating bad calls against Internazionale.

Cuadrado's participation is still not confirmed but regardless, who should deploy the left flank against them? Dodo or D'Ambrosio?

Too bad Naga is in shit form (and suspended anyway), but he is the boss for facing Cuadrado :D

I'd like D'ambrosio, but that would mean Jonathan on the right. So just put Dodo, at least he is fast, and Dambrosio on the right, done deal.

Jonathan will surely play this, but as long he faces Pasqual, I'm not that scared. And D'Ambrosio will do better in defence than Dodo against Cuadrado (if he plays of course)
