With a shit squad come on man. You can't ask for more from these "huggies wearers"... Wait until our key players return

That arguement would be valid had we had no easy chances.

The string of bad results tends to go through the start of the new year, going by the last 3/4 years. I ranted hard about this last year, this time not so bothered. Hopefully we can stop the trend this time... :yao:

We actually did.

2018/19

2 December: Roma-Inter 2-2

7 December: Juventus-Inter 1-0

11 December: Inter-PSV 1-1 (CL elimination)

15 December: Inter-Udinese 1-0

2019/20

1 December: Inter-SPAL 2-1

6 December: Inter-Roma 0-0

10 December: Inter-Barcelona 1-2 (CL elimination)

15 December: Fiorentina-Inter 1-1

Then we also had a bad result at Chievo with a dying minutes equalizer by Pelissier. And we beat Napoli at home and Empoli away before New Years. Beating Napoli was above expectations at that instant by the way.

Based on expectations though we did on par with only the PSV disaster out of the norm and the Chievo equalizer. In the other games we failed to win we were not favorites and a win would have been added bonus, just like vs Napoli.

This year the expectations were to win all of these games, as we were heavy favorites. That includes the Genoa game which we should win and if we don't then it just makes this an even bigger disaster.

Not sure why you only included matches up to December 15th for last season. It was a more heavily congested fixture situation as well.

Its obvious our front two are tired. Can't believe Skriniar didn't go hard while defending that last moment strike.

Agreed.

So you were expecting a win against Roma this season but you weren't expecting it last season? Come on. Last season we were facing a Roma side that was in poor form, 7th in the table and rumoured to sack their coach. A win against them was certainly expected.

Not sure why you only included matches up to December 15th for last season. It was a more heavily congested fixture situation as well.

I did it because that's the stage of December we have reached till now. On this day last season, we had the exact same schedule and our results were equally disappointing.

From what I recall we were definitely favorites against Roma last year. They had an insane injury crisis at the time and majority were disappointed with the draw.

I expected a win vs Roma at home with no strikers and with a shit defence, yes. Away to Rome, no. The expectation is not to win. It's the desired possible outcome, but you cannot really complain if you don't win there or at Napoli, at Juventus, at Atalanta these days even. I don't have an expectation to win 38/38 games.

Surely I'd take a win there given the game, but it's not like we were in a much greater position coming from a 4-1 thrashing by Atalanta and starting Mario, Valero and Brozovic in the middle.

Finally watched this game, finally can come back to FIF (whether you fuckers want me here or not).

Three fuckin' years in a row with this happening in Florence. It was so painfully predictable this time around because of what's happened, fairly or not, the previous two times.
