Its a disaster, especially when it happens in the final, it was a clear corner, youd have to be retarded not to see it.

I think that it is truly wonderful that the best team in the world, the best team by a long way, has won the world cup. Torres and Fabregas on the bench, it says it all. Anyone who argues that Spain is not the best team is clearly delusional. They did not concede a single goal in the knockout phase, four one-nil wins, very efficient and quite typical of an Italian team.

Its not every World Cup that the best team wins, in 2006 Italy were not the best team, their victory over Australia in the knock-out round was not deserved, clearly not a penalty. So to see the best team win is a victory for football.

Spain were favourites before the World Cup and justifiably so.

The best team in europe won the Champions Legaue, the best team in the world won the World Cup, fact.

OK, I watched a little of 98' WC, watched all '02, '06, but this was the worst wc for me. Even though I can tell you I really enjoyed the closing ceremony. That was class.

Too bad it wasn't Busqueer getting the boot in the chest. This game was horrible. Spain makes a meal of every bit of contact then whines to the ref to give cards out. The ref gives goal kicks for corners and yellows for nonexistant fouls. The Dutch were extremely rough at times, and Spain was happy to crumble like a 12 year old cookie. Any ounce of physical play was disallowed with the first yellow, and from there on out this game was an embarrassment.

Honestly, from here on out, build a team with 11 creampuffs that pass the ball around for 90 mins (making a total of 5 scoring chances) falling over at the slightest amount of contact, while complaining to the officials, then score a goal in the last minute that shouldn't have even happened.

This game was a display of "anti-football" by both teams and the set of officials. Thank you South Africa for hosting one of the shittiest world cups ever. And thank you to the "beautiful football" that scored a total of 6 legitimate goals while holding nearly 60% of possession that was fully utilized by the flop artists known as the Spanish National Team.

Thank god it is over and I can get back to watching a real champion, Inter Milan.
