FIF Fantasy Draft - Serie A Edition

I think having a top pick is always an advantage, but there are only three difference makers in Serie A right now. A team with Pogba is so much more impressive than a team with Bonnaventura. A lineup with Messi is impressive obviously, the difference on paper between him Griezmann for example isn't near as high

The only thing I'm wondering is how much the anti-Juve bias around here affects the draft.

I think this draft will be interesting. In the other draft almost every player is universally known, but in this one it won't be like that. It'll be interesting to see if people choose name-recognition over performance. Viviani from Verona for example had a far superior season to Montolivio, but more people probably know of the latter and by that fact is he a better choice (disregarding the fact he plays for Milan)?

I can't imagine too many people dip into the pool of players from Carpi/Frosinone/Chievo, etc. Name recognition is going to be a big factor, and that's also how people accumulate votes.

However, I'm hoping the washed-up has-beens such as Montolivo and De Rossi are passed over in the name of superior players on smaller clubs, such as Zielinksi

The fact is though that Viviano scored 3 and assisted 6 while playing a deeplying playmaker. He was one of the best in the league in his position this season

I'll choose Dybala.

A player all of us on FIF wanted for a very long time.

He's versatile, creative, got physical attributes and links up very well with his teammates.

I was doubting between Higuain and Pogba though. A little bit more explanation on my choice for Pogba earlier.

Even thought playing for the scumbags, he is one of the best midfielders on nowadays football world. Pace, technique, vision, passing, crossing, bomber shots, explosive, balanced. He is one of the most all round midfielders. He can play as DLP, Regista or even playmaker and trequartista. Within the next 5 years, he'll surely be in the top 3 players of the world.

This is probably the most difficult pick in the draft; as mentioned earlier, the 3 obvious picks are gone and now it's wide open.

I'm going to take Marchisio. One of the most complete players in the world, he excels at all aspects of the game and has no glaring weaknesses. He will provide me team with tactic flexibility moving forward since he can play as a defensive midfielder, CM, or even a little bit further forward if needed.

I've made a list with all the 'best' or 'useful' players in serie A (yeah, procastinating hardcore). There are certainly some epic players left.

Dis draft is gonna be a challenge I can see...way harder than the previous one
I have some kind of image in my head how my team should look like but there aren't a ton of good choices in this league tbh.
