Chelsea got a good deal out of the Lukaku transfer then.. It works out to be Lukaku +4mil for Costa, as they signed him for 32mil and sold Lukaku for 28.

Chelsea has been fucking brilliant in the transfer window. Abusing the inflated prices it's fucking stupid.

Outgoing:
Lukaku: 35 mil :yao:
David Luiz: 50 mil :yao:

85 mil

Incoming:
Fabregas: 37 mil
Costa: 40 mil
Luis: 25 mil

102 mil

So these assholes only spent 17 mil this year and the rest was supplied by stupid pricing for Luiz & Lukaku. Fuck off -.-

everything is in euros btw

Chelsea is doing good business. But I still think the Luiz transfer was a sham to balance the books for FFP. Prob some under the table deal with Abramovich and Arab Sheiks.

But how? And why would PSG do that, they would just be digging a deeper hole for FFP which they're already in trouble for. Doesn't make sense to me.

Cavani's picture was removed from PSG's official kit poster, igniting further speculation of his future in Paris.

He is in the home kit poster, just removed from away.

Wow that has to be their most expensive signing ever. Good for them though.

General question, who's the last world class striker to develop in England that wasn't on either Arsenal or Man Utd? When I say developed I mean coming before the age of 22-23. There could be a obvious answer I'm over looking but I can't think of one.

Torres joined Liverpool when he was 23.
Cole and Shearer for Newcastle. Well Cole was very very good striker.
Owen from Liverpool.

I can't remember anyone apart from these.

Henry was only turning 22 the summer he joined Arsenal I think.

Suarez Liverpool

Came at 23-24 if I'm not mistaken.

But anyways I appreciate the responses from all.

EPL has become a buying league so not at all surprising they don't develop many top class talents from scratch in the last 10 years. Moving to EPL IMO at too young of an age is not good for the development of a player, but that's just my opinion. Even Serie A a "league of no youngsters" has managed to develop Jovetic, Cavani, and Sanchez all of whom came very young.

81 goals in 110 games with Ajax, Suarez was already a top goalscorer even with the 'Eredivise' inflated goals. Obviously he improved but he was definitely not 'made' at Liverpool.

Stupid money from Arsenal if that rumors true. Has he even been a starter at Porto?
