Because there are no good football clubs in China and due to the several main European leagues available every match day, so big names in Europe (at club level) have numerous followers. so let me talk something about it, the teams most supported by Chinese fans, the reasons for it and a lot more.

The league which has the longest live-on-TV history is Serie A which made it debut in China over twenty years ago, naturally, in every corner of the big country lives football fans supporting Juventus, AC Milan or Inter. It was said that Juventus are most supported in Italy, but it is not the same case in China where Inter are most supported with millions of people loving the club. Although Juventus wins most Scheudo, these trophies are based on its power off pitch including its stinking collaboration with AC Milan. Meanwhile, although Inter received no champions on pitch for many years, president Moratti’s kindness, the club’s integrity, honesty and history captured its fans. So, we can found that in china Inter is the No.1 club followed by AC Milan and Juventus. I am saying this not because I like Inter but because of a fact which has been proven by several surveys.

Elsewhere, Germany’s Bundesliga enjoys another intensive exposure on TV screen in china, but the league has no much competitive teams, so to some extent we can say Bayern Munich is the only team that owns fans in china. Unluckily, the number of its fans is not a big one, part of the reasons is that the club seldom played a fascinating football.

Primera División and Premiership were broadcast in china not a long time ago though, but the fantastic skill showed in the former and the passion performed in the latter as well as special charm in big names such as real Barca Arsenal, Man.U and Liverpool all help in attracting people from the eastern country

The following table is based on its fans number.

Inter Milan
Ac milan
Man .U
Real
Barca
Arsenal
Juventus
Bayern Munich
Liverpool

I wonder when Inter will make an off season tour to China? Previous visits by Real Madrid and Manchester United didn't go off too well. However, I think Inter needs to solidify and grow its fan base in China.

Strange, I know a lot of Chinese that watches EPL, and hates Serie A. I wonder how did Inter get their fans from China if hardly anyone watches Serie A there.

hi,all,long time no see.
i just returned to Shanghai today after spending chinese new year in my homw town.
to all the chinese, 2007 is a year of Golden Pig,i also wish you the best of luck in the new year:)
my reply to Sasuke12:
yes, in China there are a lot of people watching EPL,but there are far more people wathching Serie A! the fact is that Serie A is available on TV at every corner of the country(china's national TV station CCTV is responsible for brocadcasting these matches),while EPL can only be watched in those relatively more prosperous regions such as Shanghai, Beijing, Guangdong.
so,obviously, much more people are enjoying Serie A.

You are wrong, in china ,we can watch the game of serie A from the Chinese centrol television every sunday. The sports newspapers take us a lot of news of European football. And,our inter-fans‘s forums, just like "inter.net.cn".is a very good place for chinese Interistis.

We have the ICN party, those everyday translate inter's news of inter.it or channel4.com into chinese.

Massive shock for me! I thought Manchester United was by far the most supported club in China.
