Souness is a great manager, Bellamy and Robert are two arseholes :yuck: . I love Souness and his character, takes command of the club.

Didn't know he spoke Turkish though :p

I don't like Souness. He thinks he's big time at Newcastle but look at his w-d-l record. "It's the players' faults" - this is his attitude. It won't be successful.

They should never have gotten rid of Robson, who is a 'SIR' for his managing achievements.. ;)

Souness is a legend, he is a hard-nose person that never ever backed away from any challenge. He went out and played in Serie A at a time when English players were afraid to leave the UK. And took tough coaching assignments in places like Gala and Newcastle.

He did well with Blackburn, and straightened slackers like Yorke and Cole, and won a leage cup with them.

And those players should be blamed. I mean come on, their squad reads like the who's who of Soccer Asses. Doesn't get better than guys like Bowyer, Bellamy and Robert!

Yeh for once i agree with hmed :p

Souness had all the bad luck last season, he came in at a rough time. He had big ego players such as Kluivert. Had a terrible defence (finally brang in Boumsong).

Had idiots like Bellamy who was calling Souness a liar while still playing for Newcastle.

Players fighting. But i think this year will be different, he has some good players. All he needs from now until the start of the season is a striker to play up front with Shearer.

only problem now is, who goes in central midfield? Cause both dyer and Jenas hate being on the wing. Anyway. They are looking for the upcoming season.

---------------Given---------------
Carr-Boumsong-Elliot-Babayaro
Dyer---Parker---Emre------Jenas
------Shearer----Mido/Forlan---------

And if u think its not defensive enough, u obviously have not seen Parker defend. He is a pure DM, he was Makelele's backup for 2 years in a row. Poor fella, thats why he didnt get a proper game :p

Yeah, I forgot Kluivert, and to some extent Dyer (refuesed to play out of position.) Damn, I would go crazy if I coach these nuts, and poor Robson couldn't handle them, they didn't have respect for a legend like him.

I think they should move for Mido. He will be great there, I don't think being behind Keane, Kanoute and Dafoe is good for him. He might be a headcase, but he is a good player, and much better than those nuts.

Okay, last comment about them here, but we can discuss them on the Euro transfer.

The midfield is great, but it lacks toughness and physical presence. Jenas, Dyer and Emre aren't physically tough, I rarely saw Parker but he is a short fella, but could be fiesty!

As for Forlan, doubt he will make the same mistake again, EPL didn't suit his style. Crouch can be a good addition though, or Andy Johnson.

Is it sure now that he leaves. I couldn't see any official message on inter.it for his departure.

Exclusive Emre's Turkish Delight!

TURKISH star Emre today revealed his delight at completing his move to Newcastle United.

The 24-year-old has signed a five-year contract after joining from Inter Milan and becomes the second summer arrival at St. James' Park behind Scott Parker.

Emre will begin his Newcastle career on Tuesday when he reports for training with the rest of the senior squad.

And the left-sided player admits he cannot wait for the challenge of proving himself in the Premiership.

Speaking exclusively to nufc.co.uk, he said: "I am very happy to have signed for Newcastle United because they are one of the biggest clubs in England.

"This is a very big club and I am so excited about the prospect of playing in the Premiership. It is a new challenge and one I am looking forward to very much.

"I would like to thank the manager Graeme Souness and chairman Freddy Shepherd for having the trust in me to bring me to Newcastle.

"Now I will give my very best for Newcastle and try to bring success to the club."

Emre is no stranger to Newcastle United fans having played for Inter Milan when the Serie A aristocrats won 4-1 on Tyneside in a Champions League encounter during the 2002-03 term.

He added: "I remember that night very well. St. James' Park is a fantastic stadium and the fans make a wonderful atmosphere inside the ground.

"I'm looking forward to playing there many times as a Newcastle player now."

As our exclusive picture shows, Emre will wear the number five jersey next season. And nufc.co.uk have managed to get their hands on the very shirt he is seen holding alongside manager Graeme Souness.

What's more, we've got our new star to autograph the shirt as well so don't miss nufc.co.uk next week when we'll give you the chance to win it in our latest competition!

Well, Emre certainly seems pleased to be in Newcastle after his stay with us. With all honesty, just how many of you feel any hint of sadness about his departure?

Ciao,
Tim

Sadness is an understatement. :crybaby: But the paranoid part of me keeps saying that I shouldn't feel too sympathetic about him. For all we know, 'that' interview can be real and he can lash out in Inter in the next few weeks. :stress:
