Part of the deal? Part of what deal? Emre going to Valencia in a part deal for Fiore? Fuhgettaboutit!

Perhaps we'll go all out and bring Valencia's Italian trio to Inter, Di Vaio, Corradi, and Fiore. That would be interesting. Recoba and Emre going the other way.

LMAO, yep, that' the deal

True. So how about we sell Recoba, and maybe get Makinwa as a backup?

If no-one gets injured comes January, he could go on loan somewhere.

Adriano+Oba+Vieri+Cruz, that's perfect. Only a youngster is needed, who'll be happy to sit on the bench and learn from these champion, and play if something happens to the others.

Idd, Makinwa has already stated that he wants to join inter ;)

We have the best set of attackers in the world. Adriano, Martins & Vieri all scored at least 15 goals last season. Cruz managed to chalk in 9 while Recoba had a very good goal-to-minute ratio. Revamping that department would be a terrible mistake. If it ain't broken, don't fix it. If it's shining, don't even think of touching it.

Emre considering offers
by Alp Ayhan - created on 22 Jun 2005

Internazionale midfielder Emre has insisted his first choice is to continue playing outside of Turkey, as reports continue to link him with a move to Newcastle.

The diminutive Turk seems set to head out of Milan this summer and a clutch of clubs have expressed interest in the schemer.

Fenerbahce are eager to bring him back to Turkey and have tabled an offer for his services.

It is being suggested that Newcastle are in pole position for his services - with reports suggesting the midfielder has entered into talks with The Magpies.

Emre would not be drawn on the reports, but would appear to be open to a move to Newcastle by revealing his desire to play outside of Turkey.

"I have said nothing definite," said Emre. "I have told my agent to tell Fenerbahce that I will think about their offer, but that's all.

"It's nice to be wanted, but my primary goal is to continue playing outside Turkey.

"I want things to be solved as soon as possible, but the situation prevents this from happening at the moment."

Souness in dash to secure Emre

Newcastle boss Graeme Souness has flown to Turkey in an attempt to tie up a deal to bring Inter Milan midfielder Belozoglu Emre to St James' Park.
The former Galatasaray boss made his move as the player's agent, Ahmet Bulut, promised a decision on his future by tomorrow and confirmed the 24-year-old will be playing his football in England next season.

'He is back from holiday today and you will know by tomorrow which team he will be playing for next season,' Bulut told reporters.

'There are six teams in England who have asked about Emre. Emre is playing next season in England, for sure.'

Souness has never publicly acknowledged his interest in the £6million-rated player, but Newcastle have been tracking him for some time amid reported interest from Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal.

In recent weeks, the speculation has reduced the field to a two-horse race between the Magpies and Everton, with Souness seemingly having edged ahead of Toffees counterpart David Moyes with Emre's £60,000-a-week wages the major obstacle.

Newcastle have already beaten Everton to Scott Parker's signature despite the fact that they can offer him the chance of Champions League football next season, and their determination to further strengthen remains undimmed.

Emre played just 19 Serie A games for Inter last season and missed the two-legged Coppa Italia final victory over Roma after picking up a groin injury.

However, he appeared in both Champions League clashes with the Magpies during the 2002-03 season - a 4-1 win for the Italians on Tyneside and a 2-2 draw at the San Siro - and was impressive on each occasion.

Don't move to Newcastle, Emre. :( I personally fear that EPL's more aggressive style will be an impediment to Emre's style of play. His physical stature, with a height below 170 cm, will also be a huge problem for him.

I think his stature won't be a problem, it gives him a low balance considering his body, he'll be dribbbling like hell!

Gosh this might well be the last day of Emre in black and blue, I feel almost like crying, he's in my heart, nothing I can do about it.

The problem is, Emre is also quite light in terms of weight and thus even though his centre of balance is low, he may topple if given a shoulder challenge. I consider the EPL referees to be more lenient in such challenge and thus Emre is facing a big trouble in this department.

I keep hoping that his agent will reveal that he will stay with us next season.

Emre's going, but I'm afraid to say there would never have been any space in the side. Oh well, time to move on...

Emre claims Prem deal
by Alp Ayhan - created on 23 Jun 2005

Turkish star Emre Belozoglu has stated that he will be playing in The Premiership next season after agreeing a deal with an as yet unnamed club.

The diminutive schemer is set to move on from Internazionale in the near future and has attracted interest from a host of clubs.

Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester Untied and Newcastle United have all been linked with the schemer and the signs are suggesting The Magpies are in pole position to secure his signature.

Newcastle chairman Freddy Shepherd revealed on Thursday that manager Graeme Souness had jetted to Turkey to hold talks with the midfielder.

Emre has now revealed that he has agreed terms with his next club, snubbing an offer from Fenerbahce, which would appear to suggest that he could be bound for St James' Park.

"Fenerbahce made an offer to me above Turkish standards," he said at a press conference. "But I've agreed a contract near to that with an English club.

"I thank Fenerbahce for their generous offer.

"I spoke to the manager of my new team and saw that he had trust in me."

Emre feels he has the tools to enable him to flourish in The Premiership.

"I believe I can do a good job in England," the 25-year-old added.

"It was mostly about defensive football and tactics in Italy.

"I don't think I'll have any difficulty in The Premiership."

Emre refused to divulge the name of his new club, claiming his ties with Inter prevent him from doing so.

"As a player that still has a contract with FC Inter, it wouldn't be right to give the name of the English club," he added. "The two clubs are still talking over details."

Could be Everton then, but I am not sure about the part where he said the team will play in Europe, do you have a source?

Farewell Emre, at least you had the decency not to reveal the name of the club before Inter agree with them.

I have so much respect for Emre, he's the type that would work hard for the good of the team and although he may be talented to have a large role in a good team, he's one to do anything to win. He could have been something special for us, and I see us regretting this sale in a couple of years, but there is no room right now and this is an age when players need to consistently find playing time to hit their prime.

I wish him the very best of luck at Everton or Newcastle.

Didn't Park sign with Newcastle? Plus Parker is right-footed if I remember correctly.
