Official - Davids joins Inter
MILAN - Edgar Davids has joined F.C. Internazionale. The Dutch midfielder, out of contract, has signed a deal which ties him to the club until 30 June 2007.

MILAN - Inter's summer retreat kicks off today in Riscone di Brunico. And the day begins with the news that Edgar Davids has joined Inter on a three-year contract.
"We're all very pleased. We've concluded an operation which is important from the technical point of view and which economically speaking is in line with the strategies planned by the board of directors," remarked president Giacinto Facchetti.
"Everybody knows how good Davids is, but I'd like to underline what the player has done in just a few months at Barcelona," continued Facchetti. "He showed he had the stimulus and enthusiasm to lead the team up the table to that second place which was unthinkable before his arrival."
Facchetti concluded: "There were a lot of European, not just Italian clubs, who wanted Davids. Out of contract, the player was able to choose. If he is at Inter today the reason is simple. His choice and our choice coincided right from the initial contacts. And I'm obviously not referring to the last few hours..."
