Yeah, ever era has an end, except SAF in ManU. He should have left last year imo, he needs new challenge, and so does his players, new coach.

and tbh Inter has a good record with defensive coaches. I wouldn't mind Simeone for the 2021-2022 season.
In CL with Atletico he is just cursed. I'm sure he can make history at inter.

He would suffocate inter with his defensive play.

I hope he stays there until he wins the CL which I wholeheartedly wish for him. It's hard to imagine Atletico without him

Like he suffocated Atletico? :D It's not that conte plays attractive direct attacking football either.

How come so? We played a very direct and also a very beautiful football in the first phase of the season, then injuries happened and also followed by inconsistency among the players.

Next season we will have better players and more options so that means we will likely be able to produce great matches (nice football and also results).

I didnt attack Conte, just mentioned him because their style is similar, gameplay wise. Different formation, same idea. Shouldnt have put "direct" there maybe tho. We did play direct when sensi was around.

Cadena Ser: Atlético Madrid are talking to other coaches about the possibility of replacing Diego Simeone. This is the first time in more than a decade that this has happened at the club.

I'm watching the docu about him on Amazon. Great docu with old footage from his playing career. Funny part was that they had an interview with Veron were he stated that definitely aren't friends but respected each other and would die for each other on the pitch.

Great to see Ronaldo, Zanetti and Veron talking about him. Great watch until now. (I'm at episode 3 or 4).

Would be fantastic to see him coaching Inter one day in the future.

Veron seems like an interesting character, I know he didn’t get along well with Adriano either.
One of my favourite players, what a beast. Was nice to see him again and talking about football/Simeone.

Those docu's on Amazon are really a good watch. I saw the one from Manchester City and now this one from Simeone. Great work.

Documentary was excellent.

Could have shown more about Inter and especially the Lazio Scudetto comeback which he was the orchestrator of. A real testament of his influence and personality. Cannot see how they missed that. Would have taken 150 seconds or something to at least mention it with a few short clips.

Would have also liked some takes from guys like Batistuta, Crespo, Ayala, Ortega, Redondo and Gallardo among others. And some rivals like Cafu, Totti, Leonardo, Maldini etc.

The personal family stuff was a really good addition but I think it was a bit too much looking back. I love how the ex-wife was nowhere to be seen or heard from :D

Veron was great but Mancini was using him too much and in the wrong position when he was here. Mancio's favoritism was something else. Fucking Cesar and Sinissa

How so? I remember veron in the middle of a 442 alongside cambiasso. Ideally Veron is better suited to a 3 man midfield IMO

He was playing as right midfielder quite a lot iirc. Or drifting wide, call it whatever.
