Defensive Pairings

This year we've suffered a lot of injuries and thus we had to consistently change our centre backs could be on of the reasons why we might have suffered a lot of goals as well throughout the year. Anyway I was wondering whether anyone has any stats (by anyone I mean vito) on which pairing played the most this year. Since most probably I think we're going to have to play a completely new pairing of Chivu and Ranocchia in the derby.

Of course I see this as the best possible formation in our actually situation.

Or does anybody wants to see Cordoba or Matrix?...

It definitely has to be RanoChivu. Even their names are compatible.

Jokes aside, Cafe Matrix has been abysmal this season. Chivu was awesome against Lecce and lest we forget, so was Il Capitano down the left. All the signs are pointing towards Chivu as a CB. Hopefully Leo sees it that way too.

The system plays a role as well but we have looked better when ranocchia-lucio or chivu-lucio has played. Cordoba and matrix have been disasters. Can't comment on walter since he hasn't played under leo but he is still our best centreback.

Let me remindyou that Bbilan will play Pato-Robinho-Cassano in attack so we dont have to worry about playing Matrix since there wont be any long balls. Also means Chivu doent have to head the ball a lot.

But it means we need to ensure that we dont give the ball away near our box because thats where BBilan can hurt us.

I'd put Cuchu back to CB like he was used sometimes in emergencies before Cordoba or Matrix.

Today's Gazzetta says that Allegri will change plans to beat Inter and that we will see those 3 strikers
