apoligise? lol, thatd be the day.

and im the childish one hey? why dont you see yourself around this forum, you never have a civilised conversation. You were calling Gio the weak link, i proved you wrong, and pointed out that its obviously Oleguer, and you couldnt coem up with anything to say back so you jsut made a weak attack by bringing up that we should sign Johnson.

You are a smart man, and surely an asset to this forum.

I have many civilised conversations. Frisko, Hamed, Fabio, enricos and catanha10 can all back this up.

Gio is Barcelona's "least strongest" link, hence he is the weak link. I never said he was a bad player. Oleguer isn't even a regular, Edmilson/Marquez is the usual CB when either is available. You can't say Oleguer is the weakest link, when the full squad is available he's not even a regular.

I was speaking of Barca's regular line-up, in which Gio is the weakest. So shut the f-ck up.

Apologise for calling me a dickhead. You tell me I am not civilised? Well you're setting a bad example by resorting to name-calling.

Let's all calm down now, fighting over differences in opinion in soccer is really silly.

The point of having a forum is to compare opinions. If everyone taunts whoever doesn't agree with him, then this would be a jungle.

Primo, Helal disagreed with you and said Gio isn't the weakest link but Oleguer. I happen to agree with you, I think Gio is more of weak link than Oleguer. But it was uncalled for to bring the Jonson thing, which I don't really get. And Helal, there was no need to call him a ----, let's just agree that we disagree.

That is a funny statement! How did you prove the statement that Gio is weak link wrong? How is that even possible? He is terrible defensively, he has no idea of offside trap and his positioning is just ridiculous otherwise. I have seen him about 20 times this season, and I can't understand where you got the idea that he is reliable. That is a J-O-K-E to quote you.

did you not long ago, say that an attacking full back puts less defensive pressure on your defence.

I remember i mentioned Chivu for LB and you said he wouldnt attack as much as say Dede could. And for you said the more the LB attacks the less defensive worries we have.

But a few posts up you said Belletti and Gio are not good full backs because they attack too much?

i dont get it.

Okay, I see where you got confused, I will tell you what I meant.

An attacking fullback is good because he puts pressure on opposing wingers and fullbacks and makes them think before attacking.

However, Gio and Belletti go the extra step and forget about defending. Great attacking without defending is useless, it defeats the whole purpose.

Dede and Cole are known for their attacking prowess, but what makes them great backs is that they both defend well. I am sure that's the case for Cole, and so for the last time I saw Dede.

I wasn't laughing at the fact that you spelt his name wrong, heck, I didn't even notice that.

Did anyone see the Brazil vs. Paraguay game? Did Luisao actually play?

I am not discussing abt other topics going on here, but the thing I have quoted is damn true !! Dede and Cole are really good left backs. ;)

I am yet to hear anything about Dede. Bayern extended the contract of Lizarazu, and will have Lahm in about 6 months time. Chelsea are gettigng Asier Del Horno and Kaladze.

That leaves us and Barca vying for Dede as realistic options. And now that Cole entered the fray, I don't know what is going to happen.

Nop, Roque Junior played.....I think Lucio-Juan are the starters, and Luizao and Roque Junior are the backups. But if Luizao is not even the number 1 "backup".....prolly he's not so good, specially since we all know Roque Junior sucks.

My options (the players I like from the ones were are linked to) are Samuel, Chivu, King, Kompany, Andrade

Brazil destroyed Paraguay 4-1, but actually Gamarra played really good, ask Adriano, Gamarra was marking him and Adi didn't do anything in the whole game, when he got substituted with Oliveira (good player), same story.
Sorry but I still can't get over Gamarra not playing, he's so much better than Matrix and Miha. I'm pretty sure with Gamarra playing alongside Cordoba this past season, we would have been so much better in defense.
