Hi guys, I know some of you are from Croatia. My wife and I are thinking about going next year, any tips for us i.e. where to stay, what to avoid etc.

Thanks a lot in advance, it seems like a gorgeous country and we're really looking forward to visiting.

The wine, the food is great. Split and Duprovnik is a must visit places. THe best beaches are on Brac, so that's a must visit place as well.

Tips i cannot give, since i've been in croatia only for holiday, i havent stayed there longer...

How long will you be there Frisk? Why not visit other contries on the balkan as well?

We're going for about a week Pajo, and we're thinking of possibly going to Venice for a day, but that's about it. We saw a nice hotel in Split, def a possibility. Thanks for the advice guys.

Week is not nearly enough to see other countries. It's a good call to visit Croatia only then, and visit Venice on the way home or something. If you havent been there, it's a place worth visiting, believe me

Well I live in Split, so could u tell me in what hotel you will stay?

I would suggest you to visit island Brač and Hvar ( great tourist attractions ), in Split go check Diocletian's Palace so as Archaeological Museum. Also def. go to Dubrovnik (most famous tourist city of Adriatic coast).

Well avoid coming in the beginning of the season, and don't expect too much since no events are being organized at that time.
