Chivu decided to take some high-level coaching lessons, improving on his existing UEFA "A" License.

Andrea Pirlo and Luca Toni are among those who have enrolled for their UEFA Pro Licence courses at Coverciano.

The Italian World Cup winners will be joined in the class of 2019-20 by Italy women’s Under-17 Coach Nazzarena Grilli and former Serie A stars Cristian Chivu, Paolo Montero, Thiago Motta and Walter Samuel.

The UEFA Pro Licence is the highest coaching certification available and, upon completion, will allow the likes of Pirlo and Toni to manage Serie A clubs.

The former Juventus midfielder is currently working as a pundit for Sky Sport Italia, while ex-Fiorentina striker was Verona’s sporting director between 2016 and 2017.

The course will start in late September and end next June.
Future is bright. :datass:

Why is this man not LGI???!!!!

Decided to go through our 2010 players list, didn’t expect to see this!

I’ll never forget summer 2007, was on holiday and was buzzing when I found out we’d finally signed him.

True.

Christian Chivu looks set to be promoted from his role as head coach of Inter’s under-18 side to become manager of the Primavera side, with Armando Madonna set to depart.

Madonna will not renew his contract after three seasons in charge of the Primavera, so the club must replace him, and are looking to promote from within rather than look externally.

Christian Chivu will look to revamp the Inter Primavera side’s style of play to more closely resemble the methods associated with Ajax with the former Inter defender set to take over.

Tuttosport report that the Romanian will bring changes in tactical approach when he replaces Armando Madonna as head coach of the Primavera.

Madonna looks set to depart from the Primavera team after three years in charge, and the Nerazzurri will look to Chivu to replace him after the Romanian has been involved in a coaching role at the club at various youth levels since 2018.

Part of the agenda for appointing the 40-year-old appears to be the ushering in of stylistic changes, with the club hoping that Chivu will be successful at bringing a proactive and progressive style of play to the team which serves as a showcase for the club’s best young talent.

Chivu is well-remembered for his treble-winning exploits with the Nerazzurri after joining from Roma in 2007, but he also spent four significant seasons at Ajax between 1999 and 2003, making 142 appearances in all competitions in that time, and the Nerazzurri will hope that he can draw from this experience as he stewards the young talents of the Primavera side.

Inter Primavera coach Christian Chivu is proud of any youth players who he can help guide to a place in the Nerazzurri’s first team.

Speaking to the press outside the Integration Heros charity match at San Siro organized by former teammate Samuel Eto’o, as reported by FCInter1908, Chivu explained that his primary goal working with the Primavera team is to prepare young players for life in the senior game.

Inter’s Primavera team have enjoyed a fruitful season under Chivu in the Romanian’s first campaign in charge after having been appointed last summer.

It remains to be seen which of the players from the Primavera team will have a potential future with the Nerazzurri’s first team, but Mattia Zanotti has already made his senior debut whilst the likes of Cesare Casadei and the Carboni brothers Valentin and Franco have been turning heads for Chivu’s young team.

“All clubs have this goal,” he said of the importance of developing yout, “all youth sectors work to develop the young players and bring them through to the first team. This is the goal of all clubs. I’m always proud of my young guys.”
