Couldn't there be a FFP restriction that forbids Inter to buy fullbacks while Mancini is in charge?

Mancini's full back fetish continues.

Won't be surprised if Mancini is after another LB come December after Erkin's fuckups.

well Santon is surely a surplus, so if we could convince Santon and Genoa to take him...

I think we can all agree that Nagatomo and D`Ambrosio would start before Santon.

At the risk of sounding a bit like NerazzurriNinja, I'm a bit concerned with this need to have a certain number of Italian players in our squad. If it was at all possible, I'd rather keep Santon and send Nagatomo away, if not for a matter of quality (or lack thereof, in the case of Yuto), at least in order to comply with the new rules.

We offered 3.7m + 2.3m (Laxalt redeem) for Ansaldi, Genoa aks for 5.7m + 2.3m (Laxalt redeem). We will try to include Gnoukouri, Yao, Puscas loan. The player is close to Inter - he has agreement with the club for 2m wage!

An absolute nothing player. He's never stood out in anything football related in his life, and I dare you to find someone who's actually seen him play regularly, who thinks he's a major improvement on, say, D'Ambrosio - hell, even Santon.

If we can't find anything better, why not just hold on to our money and the fullbacks we have, and save the money for something better, instead of buying for the sake of buying (I know enjoy's vehemently protesting upon reading this, but there's a difference between for someone on a forum board to have a bordering-on-insane obsession with transfers and the transfer window in general and wanting every single player we've been linked with to actually join us, and then for actual, professional Sporting Directors of a club with "European top-10"-ambitions to want the same).

I'm not exactly looking into a crystal ball here, but come summer, we'll be desperately trying to get rid of an 30 year old fullback with 2 million in wages - and like always, we'll fail spectacularly. Oh, and in the process, we'd have stumbled over our own feet, in an attempt to do everything actively possible to flush three of our brightest talents down the toilet (and don't give me that "but it's only a loan"-bullshit. We all know how it'll turn out).

Ugh indeed.

after Genoa rejected our offer we now try for Zabaleta who is better option tbh

Agent Federico Pastorello had a meeting with Inter for both Antonio Candreva and Pablo Zabaleta today.

I am talking to Inter about both Candreva and Zabaleta, confirmed Pastorello to Telelombardia.

Zabaletas contract with Manchester City is due to expire in June 2017 and Pastorello did mention in the past that a move to Italy was very probable.

This is a very good post and the last paragraph describes how Inter acts in the market and what are the consequences. We tend to give too big salaries to totally mediocre players who are maybe okayish-good in Serie A but definitely do not deserve salary which maybe 3-4 clubs in Serie A can pay. We give them these salaries and when they don't hit it at Inter (do not live up to the expectations of how good you need to be at Inter), we are stuck with the player because his salary can't be paid by lesser clubs.

For example this Ansaldi, is he really that good we should offer him 2m€ annually and pay 8m€ to Genoa? I think he'd be total random transfer and we have no idea beforehand how well he would do at Inter.

GdS - Duel between Ansaldi and Zabaleta: Zanetti work there, Ansaldi lead for now!

- - - Updated - - -

Marcelo Bielsa is close to sign a contract with Lazio and has already prepared his list of names for this transfer window. Among the players required by the Argentinian coach there would also be an Inter target, and according to Premium Sports, it’s Cristian Ansaldi from Genoa. Preziosi wants to retain him, but the player would be ready to say yes to the Nerazzurri thanks to the help provided by Vice President Javier Zanetti.

I think you are underrating the guy but for the transfer itself you are generally right. We totally don't need to waste money on him. he doesnt offer us anything our fullbacks do. He is a backup at his best, and we have backups, if anything, we need starters.

FcIN - Ansaldi, there's a 3 million gap between Inter and Genoa
The competition on Cristian Ansaldi is very hard and currently Lazio head the run for the full back, after agreeng with Genoa. Inter agreed personal terms with the player, who consider the Nerazzurri his first option, but Bielsa could persuade him to join Lazio. Roma is the other club interested in the Argentine full back, but they are behind because of considering Pablo Zabaleta too. According to FcInterNews.it, Inter made a euro 5 million bid (rejected) to Genoa, that ask for 8 million leaving out Diego Laxalt's deal (2,5 million) from negotiations. Moreover, Genoa are not in hurry to sell Ansaldi.

Ok guys. Ansaldi is ours. We laid 6 mil+ that Uruguayan dude. Im happy i think Amsaldi is a very versatile player. I think our incoming market for full backs is closed now. Lets see if Santon will be sold.

Santon will be sold or loan-out for sure, but i think we can get 5m for him, for Crystal Palace will be No problem, for Serie A Iam bet on loan + opt.

Now we are try to close Candreva (Berardi, Lemala, Nani as alternatives), and we will wait long for Yaya Toure and CB replacement of Murillo (Garay or Bruma) + Ranocchia replacement (Acerbi or Barba), i think we will prefer Andreolli to replace Juan and make profit from Juan (10m)

here is the balance example:
Ansaldi = Santon and Laxalt
Ranocchia = Acerbi or Barba
Murillo = Garay or Bruma (10m profit)
Juan = Andreolli (10m profit)
Candreva = 20m from Murillo and Juan profits
Yaya Toure, Banega and Erkin - all free

..... Bolingbroke : The outputs must be equal to revenue!

sell Jovetic for the same sum we must redeem him! 14.5m (Arsenal or Spartak M)
loan or sell Dodo! I hope we can send Dodo and Melo in JS Suning and to get Duncan back....

6M should includes laxalt fee?

we were offer in total 5M (2.7 + laxalt right of redemption which worth 2.3M), and they asked for 8 in total. no way we give them 6 + laxalt
