Exactly helal,games are done to be on gaming machines like the ps3,i rarely play games on the pc except football managing games and maybe a game or 2(Doom,Counter Strike)

You know a pc can also be a"gaming machine" it depends what hardware you put in. I use my pc for gaming. And You can build a pc which will beat any console. But each to his own this thread isn't meant to be pc vs console. So I will leave it at that.

Also on the pc,the maximum thing for graphics is the new geforce 786mb which has gddr3,which is good but alone costs 600$,the price of a ps3.

I just only need to get a new harddisk,2 gigs of ram and the new geforce(but not now)

i am very happy with my cpu,i just assembelled it like a months or 2 ago,and it runs like a charm.

1 GB Ram(Up to 2 gigs)(but the maximum in egypt is the 512 ram,so i can only have 1 gb ram until they release the 1 gb ram)

The gfx is going to cost me a lot more than it actually should . Suppose to cost $500 but since I live here in the land of over priced computer hardware I can only get it for R5500 rand whihc equates to $770 .

Your processor is good but just 1 question when you bought it why did you go for it instead of a core2duo e6300 instead??

Core2duo's are better for games compared to pentium d's.

Don't play cs online. I don't have a big enough capp for any online gaming. Sharing a 3 gig cap between 4 people means I can only browse and download the odd file.

It's got 640mb on board and it's clocks are slighly slower compared the 8800 gtx but I ain't going to pay over R7000 for a graphics card.

i got the pentuim d because it is the highest proccessor in egypt man,and i also looked for the dell cpus,they all come with pentuim d proccessor,and also the only deifferance between mine and the core 2 is the Mhz speed.

Also i will evetually get that geforce but its to pricy now,i mean in egypt the highest geforce is the built in 256 DDR3 and it costs 3690 LE,which is a high price,so i am just going like a year until the prices go down and then i will get it from the US,i mean my Geforce is great,i love that turbo cache thing.

Personally I don't look for dell or stuff like that. I just pick the components that I want than get the guy which I know to get the stuff and put the pc together.

It seems you guys in egypt are even more limited in what you can get compared to us here in SA.

no man,i ASSEMBELD my cpu, i got everything by itself and made my cpu,practically what you do,but here in egypt the highest proccessor to get is the Dual Core Pentuim D 3.40 and i was just saying that even the new Dell cpus have the same proccessor but at 3.2,i was just implying that this is a great proccessor,because you asked my why did i get this and not the core 2 duo.

Can any of the mods just name this the "Computer Thread",and anyone can discuss ANYTHING regarding the cpu in this thread.

Personally, I have dropped pc gaming for a long time, and only play an occasional game in pro evolution soccer, so my spec is kinda crap compared to you guys'.

hmmm get a laptop man,i saw this cpu,its very expensive for a desktop,get a laptop with the same specs as this and the laptop you can also connect it to the TV,i recommend the Dell XPS,go over to www.dell.com to check out the models there.

Whats the gfx?? Also what do you want to use the pc for?? If it's for gaming you would probally be better of getting an extra gig of ram.

That cpu isn't expensive Core2Duo is the best current cpu's. And the cpu that he has there is the lowest e6300 model. Plus overclock great. Great value for money if you like overclocking.

Well i saw the same cpu here,it costs 15,000 LE,there are laptops with the same config. that cost less,like the XPS dell i am talking about,also yes the core 2 duo is the best proccessor,but so is the D.

Why dont you look into getting the ATI X1950 if you are already gonna get a high priced card,its 512mb DDR4 with 256 bit interface.

I got a new graphic card anyways,the geforce i had wasnt that good,i sold it and got an ATI x1600 XT with 256 DDR3 up to 512 DDR3/128 bit interface,its great and it isnt expensive at all.
