From what I'm reading, listening in order fro Lazio not to take us to court and drag the deal for whoever knows how much, we either going to offer them the value they want for Cesar, that is €9 million, or give them one of Adani or Kily.

Why I hate Mancini, already? Plus, Sinisa Mihajlovic, at 35+ he's going to come along with Mancini. Another great transfer!

A bitter row between Inter and Lazio has exploded with claims “they won’t go unpunished” for poaching Roberto Mancini.

The San Siro giants announced on Tuesday evening that Mancini was their new Coach, but that came as news to Lazio, with whom he still has a two-year contract.

“The attitude of Inter, Massimo Moratti and Giacinto Facchetti will not go unpunished,” slammed Lazio President Ugo Longo. “Our lawyers are looking at the contracts and we’ll take every step to ensure our rights are respected.”

It seems as if Mancini did not request that the contract be terminated before agreeing a deal with his new club, so the Capital outfit is holding out to be reimbursed.

“Mr Mancini is a registered member of SS Lazio,” added director Giuseppe Matteo Masoni, “and we will not give him any clearance to talk with other clubs. As of now, Mancini is still our Coach.”

This is an embarrassing situation for all the parties concerned. Inter and Mancini could face penalties for an illegal approach, while Lazio are left in the lurch.

This has certainly not helped their financial struggle, as today Biancocelesti shares dipped by 29 per cent on the stock exchange.

One solution would be for Inter to hand over a player as a form of payment for the Capital club. Likely candidates to be swapped are Kily Gonzalez and Julio Cruz.

I cant believe Inter didnt think of that before sacking Zac...I mean it would be shortsightedness to do such a thing.I know they are probably doing this for more money but comeon Inter should be smarter than this and deal with clubs in a fairer manner

Inter haven't done anything that other clubs haven't done. Chelsea also appoached mourinho before approaching porto the difference here is lazio is trying to show the fans that they can stand up for themselves.

ROBERTO MANCINI

from www.sslazio.it

Basically what is says is they haven't received anything from mancini or anybody else to discontinue his contract. What are inter doing??? It seems logical to me that they should talk to lazio but then again fachetti did say we don't have to. Very confusing situation.

I hope this isn't true but i read a rumor saying that Mancini will give the armband to Vieri making him the captain? I dare him to do that. Moratti shouldn't spoil Mancini if he comes and this is why i want Facchetti to be there to enforce laws. I hope Mancini isn't one of these coaches that show favourtism to some players or one that blindly stick to a useless player (Capello with Lima and Zac with Helveg.)

I think thats 1 created by media. They created that rumour since vieri and mancini are friends of the field.

Yeah that's very likely. I don't think he is that dumb to piss the fans from day 1. But you have to wonder when he comes whether he'd insist on having Vieri or sumbit to our management and work without Vieri. Who knows, maybe that's the real reason he hasn't officialy signed yet!!!

zac resignation is the only way mancini can come...
the fluke was the announcement of mancini becoming a coach
before the real deal with lazio has happened..

this gives Lazio the upper hand to ask more money..

I believe our president made a mistake..

I don't think so... Vieri is content being played regularly and not being captain..

so there's no point pointing Vieri's becoming a captain.. which means Adriano is the second striker after him..

I believe Mancini is smart enough not to do it...

Look I luv Vieir so dont get on my case but if he is given the captain arm band it would be the worst possible thing we could do..What kind of example would be set for the players that the player who complained and refused to sit on the bench gets the armband as a reward...I am more than happy with JZ being captain cuz he is leading by example and his work ethic is phenominal,i just wish he would be more outspoken on the pitch.

Who should get the captain's arm band should be decided from the players themselves, only and not from the coach or the management. I hope the latest rumours are just that rumours and not facts, because as you may know by now, I just hate Mancini. I don't wish him bad luck though because the club comes first, but I'm so disappointed with Moratti's behaviour and lies.

Even talking about taking the armband away from Capitano is already criminal... Never take the spiderman suit away from SPIDERMAN himself :D

Cuper ready to return
Tuesday, 06 July 2004

The agent of Hector Cuper has revealed he is in negotiations to annul the contract that still binds the Argentine coach to Internazionale.
Cuper was sacked by Inter in October of last year but is still under contract with the Milan giants until June 2005.

The former Valencia boss had previously claimed he would take a break from football and not take up another job until his deal with Inter expired.

However, his representative Alejandro Camano has revealed Cuper is now ready to return and wants to manage another European club.

"Cuper is still under contract with Inter until June 2005, but we are having negotiations to end the deal so he can analyze the offers that he has received because he wants to stay in Europe."

Cuper was reportedly approached by Atletico Madid in April, but Camano dismissed reports linking his client with Boca Juniors who recently parted company with Carlos Bianchi.

"Neither Cuper or me have had any negotiation with the national team or Boca Juniors," continued Camano.

"Nobody from those teams has had any conversations with me."
