LOL Khalifa, about time we had this thread. Too bad most young people these days aren't into these genre. We can always hope...

Yeah, great question about the B, F minor and the like. I never got them too, and I never played the Piano (I tried, but it wasn't pretty.)

lol Helal.

I know quite a lot about the technical stuff about music, but I'm not so much into this kinda thing.

About the the majors/flats etc etc, starting a piece of music in that key indicates the notes which will be played as flats/sharps constantly during the piece, saves them a hell of a lot of writing and it pretty much sets the mood of it (depressing/lively etc)..

If u meant something diff then let me know ;)

Nah, you are right on the spot. Thats because i just played some chopin and some of the notes indicated the beginning of a sad, crazy, lively song, etc.

Thanks lot anyways, Is this it? Me n Hamed into the jazz scene?

Miles Davis- Pharoah's Dance.
The reason why miles is better than coltrane...He went ****ing Crazy with this jazz thing.

LOL Khalifa, I was a bit busy as of late, didn't have a chance to go looking for Jazz and classical music. It's so hard to find those things these days, either in stores, online or anywhere. The funny things is that the best place to find these CD's is in your local library!

BTW, as of late, I have been thinking of buying one of those old record players. I don't know what the proper name for them is, but I'd like to collect those old big records and play them in that noisy thing.

I could really use some education about classical music.

Now, I hate opera, but I love piano. The Moonlight Sonata is one of the few pieces I actually have.

I don't know why but piano just gets to me, I'd love to listen to more stuff.

I hate the opera as well. To me, it seems an elitist acitivity, and I don't think I am into these things anyway. But I guess I will have to try attending one once to get the full picture.

My Grandad was a pianist between working at Reuters and writing music..

I know quite a bit about the technical bits of classical music etc, but I just cant get into it that much. Maybe one day my taste will change.

Anybody that u especially like, Hamed? (or anyone)

I enjoy Beethoven and Bach. There was a piece by Bach that I had in my laptop that was mesmirizing. I sadly lost it when I had to fix the laptop and I don't have the CD that it was in anymore.

And I can't remember its exact name, some pieces have similar names. It was something like 'Troccata ma non tropo' or something like this. I tried searching for it one time online, but got different ones.

About being into classical music, you still have time. I wasn't really that much into it until 5 years ago or so. I just got sick of pop and hip-hop at that time.

Beethoven, Mozart, Bach(my fav) and Chopin. Im more into the the piano scene anyways, therefore Chopin really stands out.

Beethoven has soo many instruments playing thats its amazing that he manages to put it one piece, but yet again, i feel like a war between monarchies when it goes wrong.

Frisko, i can help you out with some names for good piano, ranging from slow, romantic to crazy. Chopin is the best to start with, advance to liszt piano work, debussy, schubert.
