Chievo is just sitting back defending with 5-6, good luck getting Icardi to score when he's being marked in 3. Candreva seemed completely out of sync. We need to switch to 2 forwards, Banega behind or if we're going to keep this up, take Candreva out for Perisic and play the counter ourselves.

Really though, the FGIC or someone needs to do something about the pitches in Serie A. There is literally like 5 good pitches in the entire league.

They are bunch of arrogant/ignorant/old school/fascists/racists, who never gonna change. In all honestly, and ive always felt this way, if it wasnt fo Inter, and the ridiculous amount of crazy unconditional love i have for Inter, i would NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER watch seria A.

Nothing different to our pre-season game against Celtic LAST WEEK.

(1) Players don't run so everything else is secondary
(2) Support distance to the man on the ball is too far. Support angle is never clear line of sight.
(3) The location of both Naga and Candreva is dreadful. They're too far behind to pressure Chievo's WBs, but too high to pressure an angled run across our backline.

Solutions for second half.

4-5-1 to fix the spacing issue without excess running. We need 2 players on each side in the wide positions. Push WBs up. We need 2-3 players to keep moving and sit between Chievo's defensive line and midfield line. Need to also flood the midfield area.

I think Banega needs to drop a bit and Candreva should cut inside more to closer to Icardi. Dambro must support more our midfield. Medels of ball movement is shit and Eder should be staying at f....n left so that Chievo defenders have to keep D-line wide.

Chievo are playing smart! They press hard and drop fast to their own half for all 11 players when needed

While we had 70% possession in the 1st half, I'd wager 60% of it was in our own half. Chievo are having a great game defensively. Closing down on the right players and harrying us all over the place, except where Naga is. They keep forcing our players to pass to him where he has no real support.

2nd half should be much better as I doubt the Chievo players will keep the same intensity.

People are saying we need to move the ball quicker, but to who? To where. There is no runners, no players taking up free space, and in the rare instance someone is free, the player for e.g Nagatomo is incapable of playing fast, precise diagonal ball.
