Wasn't Meier the referee? he is considered the second or third best ref in the world. But both incidents should've been noted by the linesman who was closer in both occassions. UEFA should use video replay and annul Zikos' card and suspend Makelele for a game.

His performance last night doesnt indicate he is a great ref.He made terrible calls and lost control of the game at a certain point. But the good thing is that UEFA will take a look at video evidence to judge what happened....I am glad, that should make players think twice about what they do thinking they wont get caught.

mmm... i don't think that Chelsea will win with 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.
It will be a hard match for Chelsea.

And about Porto.
I think that they will win with 1-0 against Depor

Desailly should be banned for 3 matches. Not only did he elbowed Morientes but if you looked closely, he also punched/clubbed Morientes' ribs before that. It's crystal clear IMO. And Makelele definitely worshipped Rivaldo and tried to recreate that unforgettable moment that Riva did in WC2002. Disgraceful. Makelele were still able to turn his head, look at the referee first before going down as if Mohammad Ali just gave him a straight.

Morientes is a lucky man, he is being loaned to Monaco.. and with monaco he can get the taste of Champion League Final...

after beating Madrid, beating chelsea is certainly a deam come true for him..

I don't think chelsea can recover their loss ... chelsea will lose, so will.. depor..

italia, spain, england and germany will have nobody in the final...
it's time for portugal and france..

Oh I can't deci
I think the final is going to be between Deportivo and Monaco, with Monaco coming up on top in the final. Who would have thought these 2 teams would have even made it this far...truly special CL this year.

the final will be Depor - Monaco, but IMO, Depor will come out top... they've got a great squad, and is one of the top clubs in Spain... i doubt Monaco would do soo well...

but i may be forced to eat my own words, though...

I'm sorta leaning towards Depor vs. Monaco 2 since Deportivo are so strong at the Riazor. But don't count out the Man U killers FC Porto. They can get it done away. I also think Chelsea have a chance of coming back though I think Monaco can go through.

underestimating an opponent which can crush madrid 4-1 is certainly an arrogant gesture...,

france sides have been very strong this season

There is the Depor v Porto game tonight but I am more interested in the Chelsea v monaco one. I will go for Depor to get through as they should b able to do it at home.

Wow I didn't realise how much I wanted Depor to win this game until I started watching it and I was shouting and swearing. Didn't do any use though as Porto are through, that pesky away goal again.

Mmmmm Valeron how did he miss that chance  A porto player should have been sent off and a penalty given as well but I guess Porto deserved to go through coz Depor just didnt play their best :(

Deco is a really good player and it was silly for Naybet to get sent off! ;)

Well it wasnt the away goal it was the ONLY goal thats why they are going to the final....Depor couldnt replicate any of their recent good performances.

Yeah well psychologically I think it hit Depor hard coz they knew they needed two goals to win. If they had scored away then the tie would still have been level. Like I wrote before, Depor just didn't play at their best.

For tomo I think Monaco will go through so that means Chelsea will prob do it.

Porto players are dirty, especially their defenders. I lost count how many elbows they gave.

I have to say i noticed that too but ofr the first time this year i saw Porto players being dirty but the ironic thing is that Depor got to see red.

I don't know what happened to Depor, they were simply flat. They lacked the leadership of their inspirational leader silva. It was sad but porto deserved to win. I still can't comprehend what happened to Depor!!!!!

I think the reason for Depor's failure is down to 4:
1.Over-confidence

After beating Milan, they thought they were the best in Europe. But that game, they had nothing.Except pride and hope. That came off well and had a psychological impact on the playerz

2.Porto's diving and dirty play

Need I say more?Manuel Pablo thought he was in a wrestling match. So many of The People's elbow.

3.Winning at Real Madrid b4 this game

4.Lousy finishers.
They had so many chances, espescially Valeron

And finally, NO SPANISH CLUBS left! Which makes it fair for Italia..haha ;)
