Champions League 2009/2010 Finals Draw

Friday,19.03.2010 - Nyon, 12.00 CET - last draw of this year's Champions League.Friday we'll know who we're gonna play in the quarterfinal and if successful,who could possibly be our next opponent in the semifinal.

Teams qualified : INTER
Arsenal
Bayern
Man.Utd
Lyon
CSKA
Barcelona ( probably )
Bordeaux ( probably )

First leg of the quarterfinals will be played on the 30-31.03.Second leg only one week later on 06-07.04

First leg of the semifinals will be played on 20-21.04.Second leg one week later 27-28.04

The Final,as you all know will be played in Madrid on the 22nd of May 2010.

I don't think Barca has been anything special tbh. Barely created anything except for the two made goals by Messi. Controling the match well though. I think it's a joke Henry got to start ahead of Ibra. He's got like 3 goals in 24 matches.

I'm watching the first match (Barca-Stuttgart), so I have not much informations about another match what is happening in France.. they are so close.. IMHO they are already qualified

About Barca - Stuttgart, the result says it all.. first half dominated by Barca.. they had some nice chances, great playing.. and the most important that they are in advantage of two goals..

I can say that Stuttgart have very very hard job to do, if they want to draw to 2-2, and secure extra time.. because IMO there's no chance for Germans to score three goals tonight..

I'm a bit surprised that Ibra is benched.. there's Henry - Pedro - Messi in attack, but Ibra is benched.. lol

If there was any better performance to justify keeping Yaya as the first choice DM, tonight has been it, IMHO...For me, he remains the best at his position...2 assists already and really could've had a 3rd had Titi gotten onto the end of that one.

Should be interesting 2nd half as I am sure Ibra will get his run out...Henry, Messi & Yaya have had a great match so far...Leo, is simply unplayable.

Shame about Stuttgart as they haven't looked nearly as imposing as they did in Germany...I think Molinaro got jobbed by the ref on that late run into the box (Pedrito! clearly should've been whistled for the foul rather than the other way around)...But otherwise, Stuttgart haven't been able to apply much pressure to Barca's back 4...Some foolish fouls from the Germans, as well

I think that's a combo of two things...One, it's been two straight matches where Barca have played 'better' when Ibra was off the pitch...You can look at that a couple of ways but, for me, it remains an integration issue more than anything else...They just are more comfortable with their old style and against a side that won't be packing it in, I suppose it was the smart tactical choice...Two, Henry had a terrific 2nd half against Valencia and 'earned' the start.

So far, it's been a great decision...I suspect/hope that Ibra will play in the 2nd half

Really?...I think he certainly could've been better (I didn't like him looking for that call on that late counter when Messi fed him the ball into the box) but he's made the Stuttgart defense have to double him and his movement has helped open the space that has helped Leo carve up the last third, IMHO

Well, I'll give u movement and work ethic, but his first touch and ball holding has been woefull. Hasn't been very involved either.

i don't know about when can we meet Barca...wasn't there a rule or smth that if you played a team in the group stage you can't play her again till the semis...dunno,haven't been interested lately in this stage


edit : For the draw of the quarter-finals and semi-finals, the draw is made irrespective of association or previous group status.
Unlike the round of 16, teams from the same group or country may be drawn together from the quarter-finals onwards.

so,we can play Barca at any stage from now on.

edit 2 : friday we will know exactly who we can meet in the semis Xoonky,then there's gonna be the ' brackets' thingy..probably QF nr 1 against QF nr3 and QF nr.2 against QF nr.4 ....i guess,or smth similar...

You are kidding right? Henry contributed brilliantly against Valencia and Pep`s decision was definitely based on that game .
