Yea and I think Shahz mentioned it in the other posts too that if Italians do not do well in 2010 and 2011 CL, the fourth Italian team will be gone.

It is going to be a hugely blow should that happen

For Italian teams to save the situation they have to go till quarter and semi-finals in CL and as far as possible in UEFA Europa League.

Yes. And it has been Inter failing the most in Euro competitions as Inter is after all the domestic champion. We should get our act together.

Inter haven't won in Europe for more than a decade. It's unlikely that we'll win CL this season or even get to semis.

If Mourinho wins anything in Europe for us he won't be the best, but better to our previous coaches in the last 10 years.

But in order to win Europa League, we must fail worse than we have in the last 5 years...

Exciting game going on right now...

First Qualifying Round - Second Leg

SANT JULIÀ (ANDORRA) 1 - 1 SP TRE FIORI (SAN MARINO)

After drawing 1-1 in San Marino, Sant Julia took the lead at home 6 minutes before the half. Tre Fiori fought back and knocked in the equalizer in the 82nd minute! They are now in extra time...what a way to start Champions League!

FORZA TRE FIORI!!!

What a game, Sant Julia moves on, but it took penalties to settle this game. Tre Fiori get sent home after falling 5-4 on PK's!

Highligts and match report to follow...

I watched it on a stream...

Spot-on Sant Julià seal Levski date

US Sant Julià withstood a valiant effort from SP Tre Fiori as the visitors came from behind despite being down to ten men but ultimately faltered on penalties. The Andorran hosts go through to face Bulgarian side PFC Levski Sofia in the second qualifying round.

Tight affair
Sant Julià had appeared almost home and dry after an hour at the Estadi Comunal. Victor Moreira had given them the advantage for the first time in the tie six minutes before half-time and Tre Fiori's ambitions of restoring parity took a heavy blow when Michael Simoncini was sent off after receiving a second yellow card. The visitors had profited from a Sant Julià dismissal in last week's 1-1 draw and somehow managed to turn this situation in their favour too as Nicola Canarezza equalised eight minutes from time. The tie therefore went to extra time and then penalties where each side missed one kick apiece and the tightest of contests went to sudden-death. Walter Wagner converted for the home side meaning that, with Martin Rodriguez's subsequent failure, Sant Julià progressed. Patricio González Fernández's team meet Levski for the first leg of their tie in Sofia next week.

Highlights tomorrow...

Mogren Breeze Past Hibernians

FK Mogren secured a UEFA Champions League second qualifying round meeting with Danish outfit FC København after completing a comprehensive 6-0 aggregate triumph against Malta's Hibernians FC.

Grbić double
Leading 2-0 after last week's away leg, Mogren recovered from a sluggish start in Podgorica in impressive style. Božo Milic calmed nerves with the opener four minutes before half-time and the Montenegrin side were pretty much home and dry by the break as Petar Grbić made it 2-0 on the night. Marko Ćetković added another soon after the restart following good work from Draško Božović and, ten minutes from time, Luka Pejović teed up Grbić to round off victory with his second of the game.

Trying to keep you up to date, 5 Champions League matches yesterday!

FK Makedonija Skopje (Macedonia) 0 - 2 BATE (Belarus)

BATE Back In European Groove

FC BATE Borisov, UEFA Champions League group stage participants last season, took their first step towards repeating the feat with goals either side of half-time earning them a comfortable 2-0 win at FK Makedonija Skopje.

Krivets opener
The Belarussian champions were in the ascendancy from start to finish against their hosts from FYR Macedonia and were rewarded when Sergei Krivets gave them a 40th-minute lead, with Maksim Skavysh doubling the advantage five minutes after the restart.

European exploits
The visitors, who earned two draws against Juventus and another away to FC Zenit St. Petersburg in UEFA Champions League Group H last year, had to wait 28 minutes to fashion their first real chance, but Skavysh's header was saved by Danilo Pustinjaković. BATE finally crowned their domination when Krivets, who impressed for Belarus at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship finals this summer, burst past two defenders and fired in from 16 metres.

Defensive error
The second goal shortly after the interval put the result beyond doubt as Skavysh capitalised on mistakes by Daniel Mojsov and Blagoja Milevski and finished when one-on-one with Pustinjaković. The hosts created their best chance of the match on 72 minutes but Nijas Lena's header from a Milan Ilievski cross dropped wide, leaving Ilco Gjorgjioski's charges an uphill challenge in next Tuesday's return.
