Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Hopefully he doesn't get it, as that would be a major blow for them if he could not play. If it does get overturned, then I would fully expect Inter to go to the same lengths to get Motta ban rescinded.

ya you are right if ribery has his suspension taken away motta's must be

I don't really understand how the Motta incident is a two match ban, considering that foul is more notable for Busquets' Oscar-worthy acting. I'd really be interested in UEFA's reasoning for that sentence.

I'm not too worried about missing Motta. He has been in very good form recently but he has managed to pull off his fair share of stinkers also. Plus we have Stankovic back so it's not that big of a blow. Bayern missing Ribery is definitely much more detrimental to Bayern that Motta is for us.

Javier Zanetti,
My lifetime dream is to go and watch an Inter match, especially the CL final. I can't make it to Madrid cuz I still have school and I live in Bahrain so it's impossible to watch the game from the stands. If Inter win the CL the I would break my legs just to go to Abu Dhabi and watch them in action in the Club World Cub. I have never been to a stadium before (for matches, not tours) and I want to watch my first match in a stadium with Inter playing. I would break down in tears if my dream will ever come true.

I went to the match in Boston last summer. It really hit me when I saw Zanetti standing there. Indescribable feeling. I couldn't even imagine your first match being the CL final.

I would be happy if they play that competition (coz that would mean that we would have won CHamps League); and then I would be fucking disappointed.

I was there in Beijing, China for 5 and half fcking years. I left Beijing and Inter played Super Coppa match the following season after they won the SCUDETTO. Now that I have left Abu Dhabi (after working there for a year); they might be there THE following season AFTER they had won the CHAMPS LEAGUE. :finger: But at the same time :proud:

Bayern have a chance for the treble against us.

It's funny how people think that Bayern will thrash us. I see that game as a very small margain win. Probably 1-0 to either side.

Question about the Champions League in general.

Lets say Roma finish this season 2nd in Serie A. Therefore they will qualify for the Champions League next season.

What happens if they were to win the Champions League, but were also relegated from Serie A?

As far as I know, winning the UCL does not give instant entry into the following seasons UCL so therefore nothing would happen, correct?

A friend asked me this and I wasn't sure :S

All winners are now allowed to defend their title.

Liverpool's CL win while being 5th in PL changed the rules.

If a team wins CL but doesn't at least get the final position in the league that allows them to enter CL, they will take place instead of the last team and split the prize money with them.

For example: Liverpool finishes 5th while winning CL and Tottenham finishes 4th. Liverpool will qualify to first round in CL and split prize money with Tottenham.

So what happens in the hypothetical scenario I wrote above?

Roma plays in Serie B but also in the UCL instead of the 4th placed Serie A team?
