We really need a defense overhaul in the summer. 3 new defenders, please. I'm happy with D'ambrosio, but I'd like to see two new CBs ( Murillo + ?), and a new LB.

Ranocchia, whilst getting better, has been a failed experiment and a disaster since day 1, and I dont think we have the patience to continue with him any more. JJ has good and bad moments but he's not good enough to be a rock for our defense yet, let him compete with someone for the spot and not be an automatic starter.

Santon, on tonights showing, is too inconsistent to be anywhere near a starter, rotation at best.

i agree with you!! Vidic and Andreolli is a much much more dependable defence!!

But ranocchia is a good guy and is our captain, so he can't be criticized or benched. Also Juan Jesus is becoming a shit playing with his captain...

Campagnaro was a mess, Rano (strangely enough) showed the best football in the back. Juan's first touch is simply laughable, he can't control the ball at all. Santon was again played out of position (I'm convinced he feels more confident on the right side), though generally when we were letting Celtic attack from the left flank, he switched positions with Kuzmanovic and it was the latter who conceded most of the dribbles past him rather then Santon.
Overall, the play in defense was disorganized, which is not a problem of single players - more like a problem with Mancini's strategy before the game (the players switched positions too much, probably due to a more man-marking style of pressing (or maybe it's Ranocchia's inability to organize the defensive line)

Calm down. The game was under control and going fine. Then Kuz missed a tackle and then of course Campagnaro fucked up. We seem to break too easily and allow all of our good work to flounce, why does panic set in so easily. We just become terrified.

We were organized and I was praising Mancini, despite we were bombarded by Celtic at the end of the first half because simply our players sucks. Dodo's substitution was unnecessary, Kuz cant defend but he can at least do much better than Kova defeinsively, keep the ball safely in midfield.

I dont understand this give-it-to-shaqiri approach when we have to close down a game. All we had to do was play some possession game but the defense just kept bombing the ball forward leaving our midfielders racing back. Celtics keeper gave us the point here. And fuck off with this treatment of kovacic. Its making him a pussy and timid to run past defenders. Fuck Campagnaro, and the rest of our center defence.

Hope this match made some people realize that Ranocchia isnt half the retard Juan is. Seriously Juan, dont pass the ball to players who arent wearing the same kit as you.
