I agree since it worked before but I'm afraid Brozovic's injury is repeating something Stramaccioni tried to avoid when he used that tridente of Milito, Palacio, and Guarin against Juve in 2012. If back then we lacked the depth, I can't imagine the current squad (at least before the mercato ends) is capable of pulling it off all season long.

The Milan game is 20 days away, thanks to the international break. I am sure they will all be fit by then, and hopefully Perisic & whoever else we are signing will get some time to settle into the team.

Lets worry about Capri now. I expect the same starting XI except Jovetic in for Icardi, and Hernanes in for Brozovic. Yeah, Gnoukouri had a poor game, but he is a kid and he will have off days...

Mancini could go for this midfield even though I prefer someone else (Taider if no one's coming..) on the right instead of our trigger happy Colombian. I suppose the Brozovic experiment under the strikers will stick like Juan's left-back run so no changes there unless the mercato offers better options offensively. The same goes to the striker partnership seeing that Icardi is now injured and throwing new buys together for the first time and before the derby could be a huge gamble.

Mods please fix Jovetic's number and remove Kovacic.

Would Swap Brozo for Hernanes...At least Hernanes will hit the target with his shots if not score, Brozo on the other hand......Whats the point of having an AM who can't shoot for shit. Could and should have score at least 1 goal yday versus Atalanta but blazed every chance he had way over the bar.

The AMs first duty is connecting the midfield with the attack and Hernanes apparently doesn't know that. He acts as a striker. At least Brozovic comes deeper to get the ball and tries to distribute it to the fullbacks or strikers.

Ionno, that's a bad idea. I would like to see Jovetić in that role, but having Manaj as our CF this soon is a bit risky with the shitty midfield we have.

Altho it's true, I know nothing about him and maybe he'll play good, but it's kinda important for us to win against Carpi.



I would give Gnoukori another chance, but if maybe Taider looks better in training, play him instead. So, depends on who looks better to Mancini right now.

Every indication over the last three years suggest that we have no plans for taider. Plus, gnoukouri has been better than average in every appearance so far in the pre-season. I didnt see all of inter vs atalanta but psychologically i think it would be right for mancini to give him the benefit of the dpubt and write it off as a bad a day at the park.

Or maybe im just desperately holding out hope that we can have a homegrown talent, who features regularly and effectively in our starting lineup.

I also much prefer guarin as an impact sub, because thats what subs should have, because our subs rarely have one.

Gnocchi is part of our long term plans. One bad game wont finish him, it's gonna take time.

I say play Gnou again. He didn't have the best game vs Atalanta but he needs game time and it's best to play him against weaker sides like Carpi. Plus it'd be bad for his confidence to bench him straight away after a meh performance.
