First i want to clarify i rate Augusto highly. I really like this rumour. He was easily one of the best lwb of the league, he would give a serious competition to Dimarco and he can also cover for Bastoni. I had even suggested him in the past.



But this rumour makes no sense. We have much bigger needs, there are no rumours about Gosens leaving and i can't see where the German could go.

Bayern are set with Davies and Guerreiro. Dortmund just signed Bensebaini. And since Gosens is a Schalke fan it's unlikely he would ever go to Dortmund. Leipzig have Raum and Halstenberg while they also have Angelino returning from Hoffenheim. Raum struggled in his first season but they won't give up on him so soon. Leverkusen signed Grimaldo. Freiburg, Eintracht and Union don't have the money. Who's left? Wolfsburg who don't even play in Europe?

I just don't see a market for Gosens.

He's an intriguing target. He's been linked to us since last season, but he was overlooked since he had just came from serie B.
With his stats this season, he has shown that he can perform well in Serie A as well.

He apparently played a lot of matches as a CB while Monza was in Serie B, and he also played three times in Serie A, which didn't end well, but it did come in the initial part of the season when Monza wasn't in form.
Then, as LWB, he has over 3000 minutes in serie A, which implies he has mostly played the entire 90-minute match. It's also worth noting that his injury history is quite low, since he only missed three games last season.

It remains to be seen what we will do with Gosens. Carlos might take over for Bastoni. So far, we've had Acerbi as his backup, which means no rest for him or bringing in Dimarco when we're desperate.
So, perhaps it may not be exclusively dependent on Gosens' departure yet, as Carlos appears to be able to covering the LWB and LCB positions. Who knows, however it safe to say, that if he came early then most likely we will try to offload Gosens.
It is also remain to seen whether Sensi will be part of the negotiations. Sensi will be valued at 7m, whereas Carlos might be around 15m, although it may be a low figure for best left-back of the season. Let's see how this deal goes.

One funny fact is that the last time we had Carlos as a left-back, he turned out to be world class, but also the last time we had a Brazilian left-back, it was a disaster.

Yea seems more like Darmian kind of play on the left side, all rounded like a box to box but for left side defense.

It's probably the only rumour i am totally calm about. I am good with keeping Gosens. I am good with selling him and replacing him with Augusto. After many years we are on a very good situation on our left side.

Unfortunately in the last two seasons, all negative related to Inter news were more or less on spot. And I'm actually following the facts. We want Acerbi, and Bellanova, but we cannot close those deals, it's a fact. A lot of rumors, that Hakan, SDV and Bastoni agreed new contracts, but no one still pens the papers. The fact is, that we have agreement with Sassuolo and Frattesi, but don't have any money to close the deal.
