E' gia deciso scudetto all'Inter

I think that we are the champions right?

Inter to receive Scudetto

Reports from Italy suggest that within the next 10 days Inter will be officially awarded last season’s Scudetto.

With Juventus relegated and Milan deducted 44 points, the Nerazzurri top the revised table for the 2005-06 campaign.

However, it was initially suggested that the Scudetto would be declared void rather than awarded to the Serpenti.

Inter owner Massimo Moratti has been insistent from the beginning that his club deserve to be awarded their 14th championship.

“I insist that we are given the title so that we are separated from the guilty clubs,” the oil tycoon stated. “Otherwise we’re saying that the whole of Serie A was involved in the scandal.”

A meeting is scheduled for July 28 between members of the Italian Football Federation and the Football League. It is widely believed that that the two governing bodies are set to hand the title to Inter.

In fact the Nerazzurri are so confident of being awarded the title that the Coppa Italia logo on the new Inter replica shirts has been moved to the sleeve to allow space for the Scudetto to be recognised.

What would be the point exactly? Would anyone here derive any real satisfaction from a hand-me-down scudetto? Does it change the unsatisfactory level of play we saw last season? Would this make CN reconsider, or even forgive?

I say leave it on the shelf. There's no glory in a badge that is handed to you, rather than won.

What are you talking about. We deserve this Scudetto and thats it. We were the best team last season. It is not our fault that other teams have been cheating.

I'm not sure that I agree that we were the "best team" last year. But more importantly, we can't really know that, can we?

It might be different if we'd finished the season only a few points behind the team that must not be named. But we didn't. And that leaves genuine doubt as to who might have won the league in a clean championship. We can say we were the best "clean" team, but did we really prove that? Take the relegated teams out of the mix and anything could have happened. Its hardly the case that Inter ONLY lost to the convicts. We lost to plenty of crap teams as well.

My real question is what meaningful satisfaction is there to be gained from a FIGC-delivered scudetto given to a team that finished a distant third place? Isn't that the kind of thing that we've been arguing against all this time?

I get plenty of satisfaction from the convicts being relegated, or being handed significant point deductions for the upcoming season. But a judge-made scudetto?

Xp

Who says that the plot was only to favour the 4 teams? It was actually only for juve! Milan has something else involved! And who says that juve allowed our games to be 50-50, or atleast have a chance of a 50-50 game? :rollani:

That's my opinion as well, I said it many many times, and I even explained the reason, the two championships must stay on "air"

We should be given that scudetto. The teams above us cheated and it is reflected in the revised table. We deserve that scudetto. Whether we should celebrate it is another matter but it should be awarded to us. If it's not it seems like every one cheated while this isn't the case.

I'd accept a solution of being handed the Scudetto(the cup) but if the history had the winner as blank, and us runners-up

I'd like to get Scudetto 2005/06, but I will be completely satisfied only if Inter gets 2006/07 Scudetto in fair play as well

We wont celebrate it but its right that we get it since we are the top team that didnt cheat..Otherwise it would be like Morratti pointed out that you punish all the teams for cheating, which we didnt do.

This scudetto isn't meant to be celebrated per se. It is simply a testament to the club's integrity, an attribute that we've held with pride through the tough years that make up the journey since our last scudetto in 1989.

Let this championship be the start of many.

Ciao,
Tim

We do deserve it, even if we lost to all those crap teams, we still finished 3rd, didn'y we. Milan has 17 titles, we 13, we need to catch up.

We deserve this scudetto. Inter have been robbed before. I don't know how many of you guys watched the 1998 season, but back then we were surely robbed, when Ronaldo wasn't given that penalty against Juventus. Anyways, it's true Juventus and co have been punished but I am still not sure how clean other seasons were, even though they weren't caught. After all they have been doing it since 1982, so it's highly likely they did and got away with it on other occasions. So honestly, even if we weren't the best team last year, but this is justice, WE DO DESERVE THAT SCUDETTO.

Juve now have 27 and Milan 17. 13 seems like a small number in comparison, getting number 14 and hopefully 15 next season will get us back on track, and give us back our status as one of the best teams in italy, since lately Milan and Juventus were the big teams and inter's status came 3rd at best. Everyone seemed to forget that before 1990, Inter were the better team than Milan, in italy and in Europe. Sircumstances changed however, and we saw ourselves loose our position as one of Europe's great teams. Now getting a scudetto that we didn't actually win and winning a scudetto without Juventus and Milan -15 points (if we do), doesn't look like the greatest achievements and doesn't necessary promise futur success, but at least it would make justice for all the injustice we suffered in the past.

Forza Nerazzurri

Question: how about Scudetto 04/05? Don't tell me it's Milan's :wallbang:

I will be very happy if the Scudetto is handed to us. I don't see what's wrong with handing it to the "best clean team", but of course I will be even happier if we win it on the pitch in 06/07.

You sound just like my juventino friend. Sorry if I offend you but he 'laughs' at me saying that. I'm not saying that we should celebrate this but of course we deserve it. And it's not a 'hand-me-down' scudetto, it's a well-won-without-cheating scudetto ;)
