I object the idea of playing with three strikers in this game, purely on the fact that we will have no strikers on the bench. If we struggle offensively, we will have no offensive move to make in the second half. We can only make the team less offensive.

It all depends on how we start the game. I think we need a quick goal in this match or else it can get ugly.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm eager to see this tridente, but we should have had a striker on the bench too. Be it Choutos.

I don't think this tactic will work but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

We have not won in Cagliari since they got promoted in 04/05 (3 draws) so this will be a tough one. Cagliari has not won this season too so I definitely smell a draw.

the best soulution would be bring back Cuper....we still would be competetive in the league//unlike the other times when we used to sack coaches when we would be like 9 points behind...now that doesnt make sense..but in this case..it's different...

To the people who want Cuper i think you are mad. We are top of the league, we have won trophies with Mancini and even though we suck in Europe we are still going through. If you want to bring back the most boring and defensive then bring him back. Dont forget Cuper lost the league with only 45 mins of the season left.

If cuper was in charge today we would be lucky if we played 1 up front, never mind 3. Get off coach Mancinis back!!!

You are right our last win (for Serie A) was in 2000, Baggio and Zamorano scored the goals in the 0-2 win.

About the lineup it surely is a surprise, I'm hopeful, but I think this kind of tactic depends in how well will our WB (Maicon and Grosso) play along with our WF (Adriano and Ibrahimovic), because Adriano and Ibrahimovic will not stay in the wing they will go to middle it's what they are. So the WB really need to be there (attacking phase) to keep the team all over the field.

Also I think that Manicin tried this formation to try to solve some of our creativity problems, I hope he succeeds.
