One of the betting apps I use is running a promotion. If you bet $25 on a team to win the World Cup you get a $5 free bet for each match that they win. It's an interesting promotion because I don't think it's as easy as trying to pick one team you think is going to win the cup. You want to map out the path for each team and maybe see who has the easiest group (and therefore chance to accumulate wins).

I decided to go with France. I'm hoping Tunisia and Australia are easy wins in the group stage, and then they would ideally get a favorable draw of Poland or Mexico in the round of sixteen. I also considered England - an easier group, plus they would play the runner up in an awful Group A. However, I don't think they have a prayer of winning the actual tournament so I opted against it.

That sounds really cool. I think France is the last team i would pick from all favourites but it's only a personal oppinion, maybe i'm wrong.
